I talked to KEvin Clash...

For about 2 minutes...

But I did find out that he and the Henson people LOVED doing TMNT 1 and 2, and they do not know why they where not invited back for #3..

That's really cool. ^^ I think the reason why they didn't have the Henson corporation was because of possibly the budget or the fact of Jim Henson being dead, because from what I could tell he was thrilled about creating animatronics and suits for the characters.

i think it was money. they got cut rate crap with a cheaper company.

No matter the cost it should have always been the Creature Shop

Anyway, it was all but confirmed it was a budget thing. Remember, the first 2 films were done on a budget specifically to afford their services. The turtles costumes weren't terrible, but Splinter was a complete joke.
