NYCC 09 - Day 2
 

Figured I would continue the day by day style. Everyone else feel free to post your day 2 experiences:

Bought a Poop-ton more turtles art, and ordered a water color painting from Eric Talbot.

Saw Avenue Q (it's an adult level humor, puppet musical. It's fantastic) on Broadway.

Met Vaughn!

Met with the Brand manager of the TMNT for Playmates, and had a good long talk that was actually constructive. Luke is a great guy.

After the con closed, Isaac, Rob, and I had drinks with Kevin Eastman at the bar in his hotel, the 4 of us ended up spending a good 3 or 4 hours talking about a multitude of things. Which...was surreal for me.

Afterwards I went and started packing since I had to move my crap out of my hotel on day 3.

I am actually now home safe and sound (after the end of day 3) but I'm totally beat. I'll post day 3's happenings as well as a slew of pictures tomorrow :-)

You know, Luke's being the TMNT brand manager for Playmates, as good a guy as he's supposed to be, is kind've only adding nepotism as another level of suspicious activity when it comes to his father's already suspicious if not illegal actions.

You know, I am officially certain that it is impossible to say anything positive about anyone in the TMNT creation process without instantly getting slapped in the face with negativity. It's both disheartening and sad.

You want something nice? I've never commented on Tristan. I never insulted Luke, just commented on his daddy. My targets are very specific, and i'm sorry if you don't like that i feel the need to point them out.

I'm just a little overwhelmed with the general nagativity of this place. Nothing personal really.

No, I do that myself. Just TRY to say something nice about me :evilgrin:

They were doing nothing but singing your praises in the panel. Jerk :-P

Sort of like that time I indicated that I liked something Laird had done and I was accused of being a kissass? :roll:

To add some positivity here, I would like to say from personal experience and from the chance to get to know all of them personally, Gary, Luke, Pete, Kevin, and the entire gang at Mirage, Playmates, Peppercom, and 4kids are AWESOME people. I'd say unless you get their side of the story how could you judge? So take it from me, they all rock!
