Good Episode list for young kids?

Hey all, I know this is the wrong section as I am asking about the OT.

I am compiling a list of episodes from the OT to put on VHS for my niece. I want to pull out relatively non violent episodes, I am thinking from season 3 or 4 when they got more kid friendly. But I thought if people knew off the top of their heads which ones had the turtles in less violent episodes but were still good ones.

The old toon was never violent in any of the seasons, so any of them would be fine. There's not many fight scenes in Season 5 though.

O_o Yeah, they were. It was just usually so slow-paced that it wasn't too frightening for the more 'excitable' kiddos.

What a naive statement. Your lack of real education on the original series shines through as usual.

Krang's robot body pummeling buildings in the original mini-series isnt violent?

"The Maltease Hamster" features a loosly violent "mob hit" that results in a building falling on Donatello and him displaying the injuries

"Get Shredder" has Shredder commiting intentional homicide, whenever or not he knew Splinter has rescued much of Channel Six is irrelevant

Kid-friendly show

The entire 1987 TMNT cartoon is a kid-friendly show (at least season 1-7).

Well maybe because I don't consider those things violent. There were great action scenes in some eps and so forth, but unless I see blood, impalement, or scenes with serious battle damage, its not violent to me.

Its because of this ridiculous excuse of violence that they had to tone down the series with Season 5 and get rid of Mike's chucks. It's sad that parents think their kids can't see a little bit of action.

It's violent. It's just not all that graphic of violence.

I agree with you. I don't see anything wrong with kids seeing a little bit of animated violence, as long as it isn't too much. Dragonball Z would be a bit much for young children, but I don't think any of the violence in Ninja Turtles gets that bad. It probably depends on the kid, though. Some probably take seeing violence a little better than others (when it comes to trying to imitate it and things like that).

Yeah... and Don't forget the Granny with the submachine gun in the first episode. And that was before they stressed that they're laser blasters....

Ok I need to re-word it then. What episodes had plot lines that had less fight scenes and focused on other story lines.... ?

CyberCubed 02-28-2009 11:01 PM

"Michaelangelo Toys Around."
