Hello everyone! I congratulate all the girls and women on the 8th of March (if this holiday is celebrated in your country).
I hope I'm not the only girl in the forum

SeaThreePeeO 03-08-2002 12:41 PM

Hello Deskjet Shredder!

No, you are not the only woman on the forum. I am one also!

Sadly my country doesn't celebrate Women's Day. Though it really should. I mean, come on, we hold the world together!

HorseTechie 03-08-2002 12:44 PM

Hrmmm... I never been aware of this day. Is it an American traditon...? *checks calendar*

Kali 03-08-2002 12:58 PM

I haven't heard of it either! I couldn't find much info on it.

Machias Banshee 03-08-2002 12:59 PM

Sounds cool to me...

Deskjet Shredder 03-08-2002 01:03 PM

That holiday is celebrated in Russia. As far as I know, in America there is also such a holiday for women, isn't it? It is called Mother's Day or something like that...

Kali 03-08-2002 01:09 PM

Yes, Mother's day. Hey, cool, I love learning about customs and holidays of other countries!

Machias Banshee 03-08-2002 01:13 PM

I love to learn that kind of stuff too.

SeaThreePeeO 03-08-2002 01:18 PM

Ooooo Oooooo Mothers Day on Sunday here! I have already got a card from Ana. She made it a play school. All together now Awwwww.

Machias Banshee 03-08-2002 01:20 PM

*runs from off topic clowns armed with sillystring and squeezecheese*

HorseTechie 03-08-2002 01:47 PM

And there's also a Secretaries Day, which was started back when they were predominately women. ;P

But I'll take Women's day, since I'm not either a mom or a secretary.

No, I am NOT a woman, in case you're wondering  You speak the truth, Deskjet. It is, indeed, women's day here. How do I know? There was a table set up in front of the student union today, and volunteers were passing out tiny flowers to celebrate women's day. So I guess it is recognized in America. Well, at least it's celebrated at my college...

Skeletoncrew 03-08-2002 04:14 PM

Happy Woman's Day to me! Happy Woman's Day to me! Oh, and yeah, happy Woman's Day to all of you other chick types.

Machias Banshee 03-08-2002 04:18 PM

Gee thanks!

Skeletoncrew 03-08-2002 04:24 PM

You're welcome! Heh heh heh...I'm feeling fiesty today! Look out world!

azure turtle 03-08-2002 04:31 PM

Too bad there isn't a national holiday celebrating mutant turtles. Ah well, I'll eventually have my time in the sun

Machias Banshee 03-08-2002 04:35 PM

Reptile Day, Azure, Let ALL the wild Reptiles of the world celebrate their herpetologiness!

Skeletoncrew 03-08-2002 04:39 PM

Herpetologiness? You know, I'm sure they have medication for that!

*prepares to duck*

Machias Banshee 03-08-2002 04:43 PM

*bap* Herpetology, the study of Reptiles?

Skeletoncrew 03-08-2002 04:46 PM

I know! I'm just being evil and fiesty! If its any consolation, I'm a taphophile!
