It had to be done...

That's my stuff, for the ones that don't know. Those that want to can read it, and let me know what they think. Those that don't want to, ignore this entirely.

Just to make sure all that needs pimpin' gets pimped, mad props to HT for hosting my stories, old pieces of art, and the only photo of me that I ever really liked.

By the way, the story won Best Crossover and Best New Author, and I think it got 2nd Place for Best New Story in the last FanFic Awards.

There, that's all.

Just a bump since someone asked about my stuff. Anyone who reads it can post feedback here.

That means both of you. :P

CookSux 03-24-2003 12:39 AM

out of curiosity, who runs these awards shows, and where to you submit stuff?

Leo656 03-24-2003 12:42 AM

Ummmm... I forget... I think GW did em this year. I don't think you submit stuff... people nominate you. I think.

I know I didn't nominate myself. And I didn't have the net for most of the time voting was going on and the actual awards were given out. ((shrugs))

The TMNT Fan Awards are run by fans. Dawnatello ran the fic awards for a few years, then GW took over, with some help from several other fans, and they did a wonderful job. And yes, stories get nominated, but you can also nominate your own. They're done every year, and I think the Fan Fiction Awards are scheduled to start during the summer, with the Fan Art Awards following in late fall/early winter.

When they start again, we'll be sure to post alerts here. They're fun, I've been nominated in the last two years, won three awards last year. :D

now, i'm doin a fanfic in comic form and i do plan to put it up once it's done. i think my art is good but my overall story is what's important, so would it be eligible for a fanfic award?

Kali 03-24-2003 09:52 AM

Yes, as I recall, there is a "graphic story" category in the Fic Awards. And there's also one in the Art Awards. :)

Donatello 03-24-2003 09:59 AM

cool, as i said my art isn't the main issue but my story couldn't have been told without it. i purposely had an imperfect art style. a little sketchy, not the best stability, but not everyone likes that kind of art

Leo656 04-21-2003 02:56 AM

I hate to do this cuz it was bumped down so far, but HT changed the link to my stories and stuff and I just wanted to make it official for the one or two people that might wanna read my stuff, so they can find it.

That's all.
