Original Series: dip in animation quality?

I was watching the original series on DVd the other day volume 2. And it started off strong but halfway through about I think Attack of the Killer Pizzas and Enter the Fly. The look of the turtles changes, the overall animation quality drops considerably. Even the look of the turtles is different. Lines become thick and thin, things are not as consistent across the episode, it was totally noticeable. Wondering if anyone else noticed this?

After growing up with the series and just recently acquiring the DVDs. I was a bit let down by this, remembering it being far better than it is.

I went through the same thing when I watched seasons 2, 3 and 4 on DVD. You just gotta except the OT for what it is, not the movies, not the NT and not even season 1 of that same series.

Well the Animation was realy Bad in Mid Season 2, Part of Season 3,the first Half of Season 4 and also the first half of Season 5. Season 1, 6, 7 and 8 are top animated for its time!

Know what else I noticed? Every once and awhile when the turtles get hit in some episodes it sounds like the inserted a woman moaning as their grunt or groan. Its really weird, awkward, and kind of creepy when you hear it. Makes you wonder if it really is a woman doing something and they inserted the sound to try to get away with it sort of like some Disney movies did.

The other errors, like the wrong turtle being the wrong color, voices being wrong, a turtle saying a line when his mouth isn't moving. It's all very poor looking back.
