Classic Episode Discussion: Turtles on the Orient Express

This is one of my favorite episodes of the original series. I like it because of the train. So what did all of you think about this episode?

I think it's by far the best European Vacation episode.

I liked the European episodes because they showed new storylines aside from the typical regular episodes. The original ideas that Shredder came up with were great. I did like this one because the use of the train was like a catastrophic plan and I always liked those ones (hence my love for the technodrome episodes.)

Although at the same time, I didn't like the reasonings for some of the ideas.

This was one of my favourites.

I like the vaction episodes but to be honest they where more thrilling to me when I first saw them on the USA Cartoon Express. Not to say they aren't good now, I really enjoyed the fact that they traveled to other countries and had a change of setting. But what I really would've appreciated is the turtles actually dealing with bad guys and challenges with out Krang and Shredder just happening to be where they where. I think there is only a total of two episode in the European season where Krang and Shredder aren't some how involved.

That being said I did like this episode because of the train and seeing Vernon trying to hob nob with aristicrats, and of course the battle on the train with Splinter almost getting thrown under it. But I found some elements to be just too silly and childish even for the turtles at times.

O_o There was a train in this one? :ohwell: ... j/k :P This was certainly the most international, spanning six countries: France, Germany, Austria, Hungary, Romania & Bulgaria. I could more easily say which Euro-cruise eps I disliked most, but I suppose this is the one that I had the fewest issues with. It was just a well-constructed ep. I still prefer to call it "TURTLES ON THE CARTOON EXPRESS" though. ^_^

And the trip ends in Turkey.

Turkey was only the destination.

The train was reversed in Bulgaria.

The storyline was almost the same, Shredder needing fuel for the Technodrome.
