Few TMNT customs by myself

Here we go!
In this thread I will post my TMNT custom figures past and future. Of course if it will be of interest for anybody. Also I will appreciate any comments and discussions here.

Here is my latest work: THE CHAMELEON
First seen in Archie's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Adventures #9 and then in #51.

Accessories: Sneaky-picky Backstab Club, Reptile Automatic Gun, All-hearin' Macro-Microphone
Real Name: Unknown
Height: 5' 10"
Weight: 175 lbs
Hair: Blond
Eyes: Blue
Home Base: Unknown

A secret agent known only by his codename, Chameleon, hi is in fact a notorious double-agent who works for both the good guys and the bad guys. After stealing some top-secret weapons plans, the secret agent has an untimely run-in with the Shredder. The Shredder threatens the secret agent to tell him the location of the secret plans, or else he will use mutagen to mutate the man into a real chameleon! Even though the secret agent does as Shredder demands, the evil Shredder still uses the mutagen to transform the secret agent into a giant-size chameleon. The Shredder was hoping to make the nameless agent his allyб but instead the Chameleon chose to escape his clutches by using his newfound powers. Ultimately, the Chameleon destroys the top-secret plans that Shredder was coveting. It's unknown at this time if this mutated chameleon-man will ever side with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. After all, the only thing known for sure about the former secret agent is that he is accustomed to selling his loyalty to the highest bidder.
After being transformed by the mutagen into a giant-sized chameleon, the man's primary special power is the ability to blend his reptile form so effectively against any surface so as to become completely invisible. Also, by being a chameleon, the secret agent with no name has the ability to use his sticky webbed feet to crawl up walls and onto ceilings.

Lieutenant granitor

Ok, here is my another work: LIEUTENANT GRANITOR
This stone officer took part in nearly all TMNT media projects such as: TV series, video games and comic books... Here are different incarnations of Lt. Granitor:
http://www.turtlepower.ru/attachment...1&d=1244195512http://www.turtlepower.ru/attachment...1&d=1244195512http://www.turtlepower.ru/attachment...1&d=1244195512http://www.turtlepower.ru/attachment...3&d=1244195512
In spite of the fact that naturally (in TV series) this stone warrior is solid gray, I decided to follow the style of Playmates' Traag and added a few blue spots. And here it is what I get.
http://s006.radikal.ru/i214/1002/a3/514ec3df9b0bt.jpg http://i037.radikal.ru/1002/c4/961d1f7dfabbt.jpg http://s11.radikal.ru/i183/1002/c8/32ec1ccb295ft.jpg http://s001.radikal.ru/i193/1002/cc/f033cc9487e6t.jpg

A high-ranking Stone Warrior, easily recognized by his large nose

VITAL GRANITISTICS:
Weapons: The Flamethrower, Belt w/Firearms and Explosives
Birthplace: Under a Volcano in Dimension X
Altitude: even more than 6 feet
Weight: extremely heavy, weighing roughly two tons (4,000 lbs)

Stone Warriors, sometimes also referred to as Rock Soldiers, are a race of sentient humanoids, from Dimension X, whose bodies, as their name implies, are composed of stone. They are incredibly strong and resistant to physical injury, but not terribly bright. The Stone Warriors' entire culture is geared
towards war and conflict with a definite tendency towards aggression and hostility in regards to other species. Their numbers are organized into a strict hierarchy, with power/prestige directly linked to military rank. The current commander of the Stone Warrior legions is General Traag. Lieutenant Granitor is his immediate second-in-command, and his successor, should Traag fall in battle or meet with some other fatal mishap. At present, the Stone Warriors serve the exiled alien warlord, Krang. It is supposed that, at some time in the past, the Stone Warriors were defeated and subjugated by Krang.
Granitor is a veteran soldier who has fought in, and survived, many battles. He can follow orders, or command others, with equal ease. Granitor can curl himself up into a roughly-spherical boulder shape at will. While in this form, he becomes even more resistant to physical injury than he already is, making it almost impossible to harm him. He moves about in this state by rolling, potentially crushing his opponents if they're unfortunate enough to get in his way

The description was partly taken from here. Pretty good text:), I liked it.

Wes 10-22-2009 03:33 AM

That Granitor is fantastic! I always wanted a figure of him when I was a kid -- had to settle for using Rokkon in his stead. :)

Captain Zorax

And another one is TRICERATON CAPTAIN ZORAX
This character was a guest star in the TV episode #159 - Night of the Dark Turtle along with other Triceratons.

http://i075.radikal.ru/1002/a7/b7bd02ec6748t.jpg http://s002.radikal.ru/i197/1002/cb/81484d6fbe3ct.jpg http://s003.radikal.ru/i202/1002/8e/fcd4fb7801c6t.jpg

Accessories: Spinning Hyper Disk, 6-barreled Atomic Revolver, Captain's Grenade Belt

The Triceratons are an alien race who resemble anthropomorphic triceratops, and breathe a mix of nitrogen and sulfur. Outside of their native environments, they wear protective face helmets to provide them with necessary atmosphere. For some unexplained reasons, the Triceratons accidentally destroyed their homeworld, forcing them to live on mobile rocks converted into new homeworlds.
The Triceraton Republic was a glorious empire whose warriors were filled with honour. But when Prime Leader Zanramon took over, the Republic soon began to regress, with few warriors left with the true meaning of honour.
To level the scales against their hated enemies, the Triceratons looked for Professor Honeycutt, who had developed a teleportal, a device that could instantaneously transport anything across the universe. With this teleportal they appear as villainous invaders, under the command of a Captain Zorax.

Wow!:o:D It's great! Rokkon can be turned into a boulder, am I right? It's a pretty good idea for MUTATIN' GRANITOR!

Ninjinister 10-22-2009 06:26 AM

Great googily moogily!

Koschei 10-22-2009 08:34 AM

That Zorax is pretty snazzy, awesome work!

nice work man

Yo, MAXtDie, I can't say I'm happy to see that you completely plagiarized the text and reference images from MY Granitor custom figure web page. I don't care about the sprites so much, they belong to Konami, not me, but that text is 100% my original work--it's rather obnoxious and rude for you to do that, and not to give me any credit.

For doubters, here's the link to my figure (and unlike, MAXtDie, I do give credit to my information sources at the bottom of the page):

I can't help but wonder if you ripped off other people's work for the Chameleona and Zorax figure descriptions as well.

Not cool.

BoggleKng 10-23-2009 09:38 AM

nice work..

You totally right about where did I get Lt.Granitor description! It's from your page and I should apologize for copypasting... its parts. But, firstly, I just didn't remember where I had got this text. And secondly, how would I had known that it is yours text and not the official one? As for the other descriptions (and as I erroneously thought this one too) it's either official (in case of Chameleon) or my compilation from different sources. So, stop wondering around and sorry for barefaced copypasting parts of your text.
P.S. By the way, your Granitor is awesome, my respect!:) Too small for me:(, but it's only my point of view;)

Wrestling Turtles

Thanks, everyone!

I want to pay attention one more time that I represent here only custom figures MADE BY MYSELF. And I do not mention a word about MY authorship of figures description.

And now is the turn of the Wrestling Turtles!
First appearance in Archie's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Adventures #7 and then in #8 and #37.

The Wrestling Turtles have appeared numerous times in Stump's Intergalactic Wrestling program – not always by free choice. The 1st time they appeared was when they were kidnapped by Cudley the Cowlick, after a battle with Leatherhead. The 2nd time, Stump gained rights to broadcast the Turtles’ battle with Maligna’s minions on Hirobyl. Most recently, the Turtles made a deal with Stump to get home and ended up fighting each other and El Mysterio (Cryin’ Houn’).
When wrestling, the Turtles don distinctive wrestling costumes (to help the audience tell them apart). Raphael likes his all-black costume so much that he has worn it on several adventures.

Powder, if I grasp the essence of your question correctly (as English isn't my native;)) there were no problema in customising this figures. All mechanisms were left untouched likewise all the movable surfaces :) So, the figures are still pretty workable.
And I have chosen the Wacky Action set because I decided to leave the original turtles as they are, and all other sets wouldn't fit for some reasons.
Is that answers your question?
