Peter Laird Selling Off His Fugitioid Tree

On his forum he says he is selling the "relics" for $25 a piece. For some reason this puts a bad taste in my mouth. If anyone is interested though feel free to buy some.

Let's see, get brand new Fugitoids never opened for $15, or get them used after being hung on a tree by PL for $25.

Hmmm...

ooglafina 01-24-2010 12:16 PM

It was a rather attractive tree, but I wouldn't want to spend money on them. I'm poor.

lilmotto 01-24-2010 01:41 PM

Well the boxes are indeed signed. Though he used to do sketches and signatures for free in his comics.

Eh...I'm in no position to judge him.

Kendamu 01-24-2010 06:41 PM

Well, he did give them special boxes and autographed them, so I guess that makes 'em worth $25.

Pot meet Kettle.

Look at the blog comments at how many people ARE interested. I don't see a problem with it.

CyberCubed 01-26-2010 10:35 AM

Still, Peter Laird got those 50 Fugitoid for free from Playmates.

I don't get why he didn't sell them for the regular $15 price, instead of jacking it up to $25. If he paid for those Fugitoid I'd understand wanting to pocket a little extra, but he got them for free and isn't even selling them at standard retail.

Time invested? I dunno...

This is one of those "if you don't like it, don't buy it" kinda things. Its a $10 premium, if that is going to break you, you probably shouldn't be buying toys in the first place.

Of all the things we could bitch about, this should probably be last on the list.

It is too early in the morning for me to care lol.

I agree with the above statement, the premium is that these are laced with Christmas magic!!! lol, seriously, its not for everyone but they make awesome unique gifts i think. i hope i get one.

Again, U.S. orders only. I don't think I'd had bought it anyway (I already have one that wasn't in the Fugitree, and I'm broke this days), but man, that's so annoying.

I can see why they do that, but you know, it's just annoying sometimes.

ToTheNines 01-26-2010 04:07 PM

They're sold out now, Viacom bought them all.

CyberCubed 01-26-2010 04:29 PM

Man, Peter Laird could put his autograph on tissue paper and sell it online, and people would pay money for it.
