The picture doesn't do it justice - it's amazing. Better than I was expecting - I certainly never thought i'd get a background. Hope he sticks it up on his blog!

Not of fan of his style, but that is an awesome commission. Plus he is like the nicest guy to deal with. Congrats.

What sort of commission did you ask for to get that pic? Turtle-bot, Metalhead, or a Don-Mech? It rocks all the way...hm, wonder what a Metalhead, Turtle-bot showdown would look like?

Just curious but how much are these commissions? Michael Dooney was charging $75 just a bit ago, what does Lawson go for?

50 dollars for one character, 100 for two etc.

Jim Lawson is my all-time favorite TMNT artist =))

Man, I love Jim Lawson. His style's just great, and he looks amazing with the duo-tone. I'm thinking about asking for a commission too.

Wow, Pow - that's frickin' amazing. I wonder if he was going through a quiet patch, in that he added on so much detail in both. Like I said, I was expecting a white background - I did ask him to put a 'panel border' round it though.

I asked for a vol 4 style Donatello exo-suit, with mini-Don riding atop/alongside.

I could change the title to - 'New TMNT Art' or something, and everyone can post their previous/new art buys (sketches, original art, commissions, etc) if everyone thinks there's a call for that. It would be kinda neat to have people posting in one place, as opposed to lotsa different threads kicking around. Anyone think there's a need for such a thread? I do!

That'd be cool! If we do it though we should start fresh as to avoid all the in between posts. Also throw it in the collection section maybe?

Yeah great idea! I know myself and a bunch of other members are huge art collectors so that would be cool to have.
