TMNT Live Action Movie Turns 20
The first TMNT Live action movie turns 20 years old today, It was released on March 31st 1990.
http://www.slashfilm.com/2010/03/30/...ars-ago-today/ I remember seeing it on that weekend. |
Its odd how the movie came out when I was 3 years old, I would have thought it had come out later. Its weird how I still got to experience the TMNT fad even though I was basically born a year before the cartoon started.

I was 17 years old when it first came out.

In Austria it was first shown in decembre 1990, I was 2 years old and saw it the first time in 1994 on german free tv ^^But my older brother was watching it in cinemas back in 1990 and he loved it. Sadly he always said he hated the cartoon, which - he always told me - was based on the movie:roll: |
Oh I am getting old. I remember having the original movie poster for it, the one with their four heads peeking out of the sewer and it read at the bottom "Hey dudes, this is no cartoon". I don't know what ever happened to that poster...
|
I wasn't even born yet! Not till november of that year. I did however take my first steps to it on VHS.
|
Wow. Exactly twenty days to my my thirteenth birthday.
Er...then, not now. I still remember waiting in line to see it in the theater. |
I was 2 1/2 going on 3 in 16 days and ironically my birthday is on April 16th.

I mean, ya got the right answer, but you had to ask if it was...? |
I was a wee little sperm cell at the time, but I did get to see the TV airings :)

I was five, and just the right age to be completely blown away by the movie. I'm not sure if I saw it on opening day, but it was probably the first weekend. I was a certified Turtle fanatic by that point, and the movie just cemented it. I popped in the Blu-ray last night, and it gets better every time I see it. :tsmile:

I was only 2! Haha
|
I was six. I didn't get to see it in the theater, but I got to see it on video. Later, it came on ABC and was recorded to have my own personal copy. I remember being totally captivated by it and basically cemented Leonardo as my favorite for life. :tlove:
I was always skeptical of the human Yoshi turned into rat Splinter in the original cartoon. The movie just made way more sense to me and later I found out it was the true origin. |
