What's the difference between Casey Jones and Raphael #1 and Bodycount #1
 

Okay, I know that the Casey Jones and Raphael miniseries was canceled after its first issue, and that later on, Image continued the story with the Bodycount mini series. What want to know is, what is the difference beteen CJ&R #1 and BC#1? Are they the exact same issue, just under different names? Are they different tellings of the same tale, and if so, what are the most notable differences, storywise?

Casey Jones & Raphael #1 ends at Page 20.

Bodycount #1 continues from Page 20 with 6 more pages of content.

So if you tried to read Casey Jones & Raphael #1 and Bodycount #2 back to back, you'd be missing 6 pages inbetween. It was deliberately done in order to force anybody who bought Casey Jones & Raphael #1 to rebuy it as Bodycount #1 (very shrewd, Eastman). The extra 6 pages in Bodycount #1 read like the first 6 pages of Casey Jones & Raphael #2, the issue ending on a rather anticlimactic panel, as it WAS meant to be the first six pages of Casey Jones & Raphael #2. They just, again, awkwardly slapped it on to the end of Bodycount #1 to make people rebuy an almost identical product.


Casey Jones & Raphael #1 also has a color back-up story by Jim Lawson, the insipid "Guzzi Lemans" which I cannot in good conscience recommend to anyone on this planet.

Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait.

Wait.

So you mean Bodycount #1 and Bodycount #2 continue the story in the Raphael "microseries?"

Oh, man.

Having never read Bodycount, I honestly did not know that.

Nah brotha. There was another Raph/Casey story/series that came out way later having nothing to do with that one lol.

Bodycount is post-Raphael microseries but pre-Leonardo microseries. Remember Casey yelling at the Shredder that he's thrown guys out "Ten times your size when I was a bouncer at Torchy's!" Well, we see him as a bouncer at Torchy's in Bodycount.

And now, another question: you know how the Raph microseries ends with Case and Raph running off to (apparently) stop another crime? Yeah, well... was THAT story ever told anywhere?

So was there an actual Casey & Raph #2 issue printed?
