Question about #1 1988 Fan Club Kit Comic
 

Is this just another reprint of the vol.1 #1 with a special edition cover?

If not, please let me know what it is exactly.

No. It's different. It involves the Turtles fighting the Purple Dragons, who got their hands on a wrecking ball and are tearing into an apartment building that just happens to be the one April lives in. It's a really short comic of only six pages or so and the art is a bit reminiscent of the early Playmates figure card art only in black-and-white.

I'm not even sure there were any names on or in the comic to give credit to whoever did it, but it certainly didn't look like Eastman or Laird. It looked more like someone trying to copy that style. Sometimes copying almost exact panels.

The whole thing has a somewhat subtle sense-of-humor about itself with a bit of action thrown in.

Wow. That's funny that you made a post about this. I just found and read it the other day. Forgot I was even a member.

I doubt you'd have to pay much for it on its own. If you get it with a complete fan club kit, though, it can cost you a pretty penny. I remember someone bought my complete fan club kit (unused) from me for about $160.
