Well it was actually a text interview via FaceBook. Online at the same time.

You did a great interview there! I loved the questions you asked, and his responses were interesting, too.

I met Sam Riegel at Turtles Forever last year, too, and he is such a sweetheart! That made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside to read how much he enjoyed the Turtles Forever experience, too. :-)

Until I hear a voice actor speak in his normal voice, I always imagine it as though their character voice is their normal voice. I'm reading this whole interview with Don's inflections and all. I know it's a text interview, but... y'know.

On a side note, I recently realised that in the Mirage and IDW comics, I read most of the characters with their 2k3 voices.

I'm intrigued that he wrote all of the cutscenes for Arcade Attack. That game consistently makes Michelangelo's weapon choice out to be a useless joke. Those cutscenes even go so far as to make Mike keep asking, "Why did I pick the nunchucks?" I definitely would have made a follow-up question about that.

Wow, great that you had the time to do this, really enjoyed reading it. You had great questions and Sam had great answers, that Turtles Forever part was really sweet. Can you imagine Sam voicing Mikey and Wayne voicing Don? It's weird how different things could've been.. Thank you for posting this!

That's awesome!

Awesome interview! Always enjoyed Sam's work on TMNT and a lot of other things. Honestly, I find it really funny how his and Wayne's roles were switched at first. Reminds me of the OT when Townsend and Cam originally attempted each other's role for the first episode. Apparently going by both of those stories, it's REALLLLLLY hard to cast Mikey.

Sam Riegel sounds really sweet. To me, he is the definitive voice of Donatello. He captures Don's portrayal of intelligence, calmness, and friendliness real well. I hope he will voice Donatello again one day.:tsmile:
