I thought I ask people how they think the turtles are a good example of teenagers or how they dont act like them what so ever

so whats your view

I think the TMNT in the new series are good examples of teen brothers. Minus the ninjitsu, mutants, and sewers.

the turtles have always been to me a story of growing up but more to the extreme.

I cant say any of there life lessons have ever helped me in a crisis
but those storys are way to good

Yeah, I do think the TMNT in the new cartoon series does the best job at putting TEENAGE in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. In all others, it was simply an age, a title. In the old cartoon, they had their moments, though.

But in the comics, you can hardly blame them, do to their upbringing. I think there were very few instances in which they really got to enjoy their youth and teenage years. Seems like even at 15 they were all grown up.

but if you think of it the turtles hole youth was wasted because splinter
trained them all there life to get rid of shredder.

I know, that's what I was talking about when I mentioned their upbringing. I mean, yeah, there were moments of fun, pranks and stuff, but overall, they didn't really have a chilhood. Understandable, but kinda sad.

but I would hate to be them

Yeah, I agree with everyone. In the new show the teenage aspect is shown best.

Nate 04-02-2003 03:08 PM

How good of a youth could they have growing up as mutant ninja tutles?

Stefano 04-02-2003 04:17 PM

no girl turtles. and if there was it would be their sister

Anarchistguy 04-02-2003 06:42 PM

Please, don't bring up Venus De Milo. I'd like to spend the rest of my night WITHOUT nightmares.

HorseTechie 04-03-2003 11:11 AM

How did Venus even get into this? :P

But I gotta agree with Nate... what is it like to be a muntant turtle living under the streets, hearing mroe things from the street gangs and homeless than they do the rest of pleasant human civilation portrayed on TV.

Hrmm.....
