I love OT Rapahel and his voice actor Rob Paulsen. He made Rapahel what he is. OT Rapahel was funny and when I think OT I think OT Raph's wit and sarcastic remarks. It gave the show an edge in it most powerful influence. Humor. Unlike other versions of the turtle franchise that attempt the funny turtle bit, Rapahel is in a class all on his own that nothing can touch. Honestly in other turtles mediums their idea of humor or a "funny" turtle is to employ annoying "age" sterotypes with over the top one liners that annoy rather than amuse and just come off forced than anything else. Not OT Raphael though:

He was my favorite OT character... after I got sick of Don's "I'm better than you" attitude, that is. I gravitate towards smart-ass characters. ^_^

I've always preferred Raphael for some reason, regardless of incarnation. Whether it's the smart-aleck version we see here, or the badass version used everywhere else, he always seems to have a...a 'bite' to him, that the others don't quite have.

Definitely have a soft spot in my heart for this incarnation of him though, he makes breaking the fourth wall an art. I mean...

That what's I love about OT Rapheal, the joke would be simple, stupid and pretty lame but it would still makes me laugh. He had great delivery. :lol:

:lol: I'd never seen that bit before, so in the vid it had me laughing hard. Though, I have to give Cam Clarke major kudos for that exchange too - Leo just sounds so full of himself.

He's one of the few characters that can make me laugh as an adult. He pretty much makes the series what it is..humor-wise. I don't mind him being a bad ass and all, but I do recommend he get a few more witty remarks in the upcoming movie and/or series.

Appropriate title. OT Raph sure is awsome. I think all of the turtles had great jokes though, even if Raph had the best.
The humor was sharp as hell most of the time.

Raphael was the funniest OT character, Krang was hilarious too, but Raphael is my favorite OT character. 95% of my favorite OT quotes and conversations had Raphael or Krang in them.

When you compare the other three differnet incarnations there might be slight differences but they have essentially the same personality. Raph is different though, his OT incarnation is very different than the rest of his incarnations.

It's hard to say if I prefer angry Raph or funny Raph, I just like Raphael, he's probably my favorite Ninja Turtle, Don coming second.

Classic Raph is the ONLY version of him I like. Unfortunately he's a real prick in every other version, which is really disappointing :(
Would be nice to see Raph these days go back to being cool, charismatic and witty.

I think he should be both in the next version. Maybe even bipolar. ;)

I agree on two accounts: Raphael is awesome and Charlotte Sometimes' sig is freakin' amazing!

But I cannot help but wonder, what is 'Rapahel'? Typo, or a place where evil rappers go when they die?

Rob Paulsen's Raphael was hilarious and awesome. He cracked wise like the best of 'em or better. And his schtick never gets old.

OT Raphael is great, let's face it he always had some of the best lines in each episode, hehe. And his kind of snarky attitude was very appropriate for a teenager to have. He gives off the impression that he could care less about anything, but then you knew he really did.

When I saw "Turtles Forever" I thought it was apparent that the newer turtles didn't really come across like teenagers. They were far too mature and responsible, to the point of being kind of bland. And their constant scolding of the older turtles just made them look like kill joys.

On a side note, I just watched the vid. Man, I forgot how fun Raph was on the show! :D

And to think,Rapheal almost got lucky with you know who.:D

i pick the 2003 and the movies Raphael better his more because he remind of wolverine of the ninja turtles at least was not a punk just talking all of his junk can not fight:tgrin::tgrin:
