Question - How to make this vintage Adam head look like Keld
I´m working to make a vintage looking Keldor to my collection, but like He-Bro, I prefer to see him with a human flesh color and not the blue.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...ldor2010_2.gifHe-Bro custom Keldorat he-man.us I´m using the recipe from He-Bo custom Keldor, with some minor changes, to make it more similar to Adam and Randor... I´m giving him trousers...:sklol: and regular harms http://i38.servimg.com/u/f38/12/68/13/09/snapsh10.jpg Because Keldor is Adam uncle, I thought that an Adam/He-Man head would fit to make his face. http://t0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:A...QvVgFlaiGqv9Q=http://t1.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:A...w5PkZjio-zXkI= Motuc Keldor head looks based on He-Man head... I would like to get some suggestions on how to make it. So please help me. Should I sculpt new hair? Or just repaint it? Should I sculpt a beard or just paint it? http://www.figurerealm.com/Customs/2500/2162-1.jpgCustom I have found in the net Some customs I have found in the net don´t help me much to decide... |
I'd go for sculpted longer hair and tiny, sculpted beard and maybe moustache too. Only thing that bothers me in He-Man head you're using, is the ears. I prefer them showing, and doing that on that head could prove difficult, so I'd personally would use different head to work on. But if you plan on using that, just make it a bit longer and paint it :)

I want him to look human... but in other forums I got the same reply... but I think I will just paint it :) thanks Topsu :)

Sculpting is generally preferable to painting, as far as realism is concerned--a painted beard is going to look like just that, as it has no depth.
If memory serves, those heads are hollow and rubbery--I wonder if it would be possible to squeeze the head, thus making the features more elongated like Keldor's, and then "freeze" it in that pose? Maybe fill it will something that would rapidly harden or 'paint' the exterior with super glue to fix it in place? |
I have made this sketch to see how it would work, and the hair is really what is making me troubles to decide if I should sculpt or not.
