The Old Show if only it had a proper ending ....
Does anyone ever wish the last season of tmnt was better. If you as I watched it over the years as I did I would have expected a good final ending. After following the technodrome around from everywhere from Dimention X to hell and back I would have thought they would have ended it respectlvly. And what about shredder and krang couldnt they done something better with them? christ makes me think I was jited a little all these years. I kinda thought after watching all these years they would have done a proper ending or make it go to a movie one day u know instead of messing it up with Dreging us out to bad the show could have been better that last year I hope the best for this show and hope it holds up so far I love it can't wait to next week its going to be a good one!

ya I cant wait for ep 10
I hope they did a good job on it! because thats going to be the best ep |

For starters, I thought 1993 was their best season. Me and a fellow fan of the original show both feel that the Red Sky episodes were very unneccesary (even though I felt some eps were good).
I thought it would've been much more interesting if Don blew up the Technodrome instead of sending it back to Dimension X. Then Shredder and Krang would've been stranded on Earth and gotten captured once and for all. |
I never saw much Red Sky stuff. Something must've happened that I can't remember 'cause I stopped watching TMNT. I wish it had a better ending though, is it true they completely got rid of Krang and Shredder?
|
I like get shredder it was a dam good start on redsky especially when they blew up channel 6! lol after seeing 911 i'm surprised the aftermath wouldnt have killed them all standing outside of it. Though thats the only actual time they caught them all, plus turtle trek was cool last time the tdrome worked and in action
|
yeah well how many kids shows that you can think of ever get a proper ending?
|
that is a good one! umm didnt thundercats have a decent one been years since I saw that oh and ghostbusters lol j/king

Ratings were dropping during 92 and 93. Red sky seasons renewed the series and got the ratings up. But I agree, the ending isn't best posible. Some sort of final battle between Shredder and TMNT would have been cool, but it wouldn't have fít the show, even redsky.

Perhaps an animated movie should've waited until after the end of season 8, or at least an hour-long series finale...
|
hmmmmm
the 'red sky' seasons had as good a season finale as any of the earlier seasons did. i think what you all fail to understand is that the final season of the show wasn't PLANNED on being the final season....
|
You can't say that for sure. CBS decided to quit it even when ratings were good. That indicates they had planned it.

The "Red Sky season" i think is 1995 ---> 1996, where Dregg substitutes Shredder and Krang, i think it's the worste season.
The best season is 1989! The episodes have a logic sequence. I think however the old cartoon have a bad ending. For me is a no a true the end... |

I was thinking about this and realized what the ending REALLY needed. So I wrote a short summary of the episode I created. Enjoy.
One day Shredder was really pissed off and was drinking some sprite and obeying his thirst when he got even more pissed for reasons unknown. He bust down the door of this orphanage day care, and started wailing on everyone's ass. Then some girl scouts burst in, and started doing these monster moves. Shredder knew he would meet his match lest a mircale came to him. Then Raphael ran in the door, picked up some shards of wood and threw it like a spear into one of the girl scouts hearts. She started screeching like a banshee as the force of the blow sent her flying. The other girl scouts released Shredder from a sleeper hold and went ape ****. Raph picked kicked one of them into the other and they exploded. Then a force of fifteen scouts came in with some orphan back up, and started whomping on Raph's ass. Raph got real pissed at this and broke a couple necks and ripped off one's leg and used it as a club; beating the other battle hardened scouts into submission. But their numbers overwhelmed his talent. By this time Saki had regained conciousness and saw the little imps were still at it. He picked up a big wheels and spun the front wheel around really REALLY fast. Then he proceeded to use it as a saw blade and cut down a few of the fiends. Raphael slowly got to his feet and looked at Saki. "You're the one behind this, huh? Shoulda known!" "Still your tongue," said Saki, "we must join forces to defeat these creatures." "You mean dey ain't wit you?" asked Raph. Before Saki could answer all hell broke loose as Ostrich mounted Scouts came in with Razor edged cookies. The threw them with considerable skill. Raph tackled on rider and Shredder sliced two more down. But the numbers wouldn't end. Using super ninja magic they shot lasers out of their eyes and burned a path out of the Orphan Day Care and into the streets. The street was posed even more of a threat as Ostrich Riders came swooping from the sky. Saki and Raph were both knocked down, then covered beaten unconcious........ To be continued....... See? that would kick ass. ASS. |
and this ends the series? lol
|
Not bad. Atleast Girl scouts were dying.

I thought the end of the 1994 season should've been the end. The technodrome with Shredder and company inside getting destroyed by that squid-like thing. Dregg's defeat was rather stupid, being thrown into a dimensional portal with Krang's body about to explode. The whole problem with that is what about the rest of Dregg's forces? It's not like they were no longer around, they could've rescued him or continued his plan and kept going. The only thing besides Dregg that bothered me about the Red sky eps was the fact that they used a red sky. It makes no sense what so ever that the sky was red even though the series was meant to be more serious. They made it look kinda like a Dimension X version of Earth, cause Dimension X always had a red sky. Stupid animators.

Boy, there are so many ways this could go. But I agree with most everyone else here that the "real" ending of the series should have been the defeat of Shredder and Krang.
The last episode in Season 8, "Turtle Trek," got it pretty much the way it should be. Shredder and company are defeated and left stranded in Dimension X. They weren't killed, thank goodness; if that had happened, it would have been a horrible way to end the series. This is how I always imagined the series ending. Shredder and company are defeated and left stranded in Dimension X. However, I will give credit where credit is due. Jeffrey Scott, who wrote all the Season 10 episodes, obviously knew his history and respected what made the show a success. He brought back Shredder, Krang, Dimension X, and the Technodrome. Even though the series didn't end how most of us envisioned it, at least there were some aspects of it that remained true to the heart of the series. Even if it wasn't Shredder and company that were being defeated, going to Dimension X to retrieve Krang's android body in the Technodrome to destroy Dregg was a good twist. I was more annoyed with the ending of the episode. The last we see of the Turtles is them complaining about Donatello's cooking popcorn? Jeffrey Scott should have dipped his hand into the Nostalgia Bag one more time and brought back our beloved pizza. Because, like, when did the Turtles ever eat popcorn? "Pizzas!" - Michaelangelo, from "Case of the Killer Pizzas" |
