Suki Vs the old tmnt shredder

I def like the new suki and shredder thing in the new show. Thou I wish they would have kept the whole old show orgin of how suki set up splinter in japan years ago, but yea suki is cool to have around its sorta like the kingpin from spiderman, like suki at times and shredder at night or whatever u know what I mean but its good to see he didnt turn into a ass later on like on old tmnt show meaning not as mean or in so in control. one last question will the turtles just know suki as suki but not know hes shredder and think there 2 dif people when really we all know he is one be cool if they can do that u know to trick the turtles but u know make it more interesting, I didnt read ahead like some but i'm just hoping it goes that way.

He's called saki, not sucky :P
I'm guessing the turtles wont know shredder is saki since i think thats the way it went in the original comics, not sure.
*edit* come to think of it, splinter knew shredder was saki, and thus probably so do the turtles..

I hope they keep it more mysterious like so far how he just didnt jump into shredder suit, I wounder how saki will operate if hes exposed and is he mad rich? and what his is source of income to hold such a standing like that in the city, hey i know its a cartoon but just curious?? or is he just a high payed dealer lol  or just suki? sorry about that lol

Nickokapo 04-08-2003 01:17 PM

Well he runs the foot clan for god's sake, with all the money he wins from his gang's crimes i bet he can afford a couple of those buildings :P then again...if he's a businessman i guess he makes business and gets filthy rich, that's what businessmen do :D

No, the TMNT don't know. It will be explained to them in episode 10 I think.

Karpo_007 04-09-2003 06:12 AM

Daisuki is a character in anime bout dogs killling bears... Silver Fang in english I think.

Barkworm 04-09-2003 07:05 AM

One of the main characters in Battle Anger is also Daisuki..

Karpo_007 04-09-2003 09:02 AM

Oh so it's not weird then.

Tetsu Deinonychus 04-10-2003 10:03 AM

Suki actually means fondness. When you say you like/love something/someone in japanese you say it's a fondness.
Dai is a prefix meaning big/great. Hence Daisuki=Great fondness.

A more clear less ambiguous phrase for "I Love You" would be "Ai shite iru".

Saki can mean point, destination, or psychic danger sense. Not to be confused with Saké which is a wine made from rice.
The Japanese word for salmon is also pronounced saké or shaké and another word for Japanese rice wine is Nihonshu.
