I don't celebrate that and usually don't have any idea what Boxing Day is. Is it something over in Europe?

Boxing Day is the day after Christmas, Dec 26th and is basically like black friday only IMO a wider range of sales and awesome deals.

I just got back from boxing day shopping. Good lord I don't think I've ever seen that many people at Wal-mart before! :o Got me a new plaid shirt that was on sale.

I sometimes go to the book store on boxing day. Once I got a $40 book for only $10. But even then I didn't pay for it cuz I had gotten a Barnes and Noble gift card for christmas! Muaha! :D

I see what you mean. I opened an Amazon email about Boxing Week deals, and it brought me to Amazon.ca. :P

Only thing I was shopping for was drink down the pub, with a group of close friends. Oooh boy, it were messy! Got there around twoish, first drink was free, bar was supposed to be shutting at six, but we didn't get thrown out til after nine. Lock in! Good times...

But no, I don't normally shop on boxing day. Working in retail, i've actually worked the last three years, but my bosses very graciously gave me the day off this year.

Boxing day appears to be a huge thing in Vegas!
I was there at the Premium outlet stores Boxing day and could not
even find a parking spot!

I have never shopped on Boxing Day. At one time everywhere was closed and Dec 26th was treated like another Christmas Day, but over the last few years it seems to be a trend down my end of the globe to start the January sales on the 2nd day of Christmas.

I like preserving holidays as holidays when possible. The UK hardly has any publc holidays at all and yet they are not even treated as holidays.

I get the impression America has it good. :)
