The Collection That Got Away :-(

I just purchased all of these toward the end of the year as my interest in the Turtles was rekindled and I had a sudden urge to start collecting again. Sadly, just after I got everything, I had unexpected expenses come up, and I'm going to have to move in mid February (also unexpected). I had to turn right around and sell everything which broke my heart because I loved every piece I was able to get my hands on. Even as I sit here, I don't want to ship it all on Monday, but I know I have to :tsad: Anyway, I figured I'd share what was to be the beginning of my new TMNT collection. I had a NYCC Exclusive Neca four pack with the bases & accessories signed by Laird, the Neca April figure with the Mousers, the Neca SDCC Exclusive Mouser 3 pack, an original drawing by Laird from 1988 signed by both Laird and Eastman on Mirage Studios letterhead paper, a first printing 1988 Mirage Studios TMNT Collected Volume One TPB, a Fugitoid #1 comic book signed by Eastman, a Playmates 25th Anniversary Fugitoid Collector Figure with box signed (and Turtle sketched) by Laird, and a set of the metal miniatures by Dark Horse including the four Turtles, Splinter, and Shredder. Oh well, I'm going to go cry now. :tsad:

That's sort of pouring salt on the wound there, dude. :ohwell:

Try to keep something. If nothing else, the Collected Book and letterhead sketch; the Fugitoids, NECAs and Dark Horse miniatures can be replaced fairly easily, but the Volume 1 and sketch would be harder to come by (and possibly more expensive that you invested) again in the future.

Yeah. Try to keep the Dedicated stuff you have mostly and let go the rest , you'll be able to get it back later or sell other stuffs than your turtles.. it's sad story my friend , but if it will not alter your passion , you'll get what you want soon. good luck :twink:

beautiful sketch. That I would have kept.

That sucks big time but Id say hold onto that sketch, if you can. Everything else would be fairly easy to replace.

I went through the same thing so I know what it feels like. Hang in there. Most stuff will always be available, trust me. Everyone has a price.

If or when you decide to get rid of the Dark Horse miniatures I've very interested. I'm having trouble finding a set anywhere for sale.

I'm just like you with my rekindling of collecting TMNT stuff. This is the main reason I went searching an found this forum. Glad I did!

Let me know...
