5 missing old tmnt toon episodes?

Ok first of all this is a rumor so dont freak out yet and do go passing this as a fact
Well i've readed at the ninja turtles network site that there might be 5 missing episodes...pretty cool that'd make the toon have 198 eps...um, 197 if ya count that 2 parter episode as one.
Either way, what do you guys think? :) IMO i think its possible since deathknight has been saying the euro episodes were made years before they were aired, so there might be episodes that were made but not aired, if this is true that'd be great news.
*edit* of course, they could actually be rejected episodes that werent made, but who knows?
I dont think i can contact anyone to confirm this, i'd email mr.berger but im not sure i wanna bug him, he might know nothing about all this :ohwell:

Raven 04-12-2003 02:11 PM

it would be cool if there were missing eps

then there would be a anther reason for them to
air the old eps

Nickokapo 04-12-2003 02:56 PM

Yeah...that's what worries me actually, that if there are episodes they wont be aired now since they werent aired back then! :ohwell: But this is pretty interesting nonetheless...what with the new toon being aired and all we old toon tmnt fans might get lucky ;)

Nturtle 04-12-2003 05:24 PM

Yeah I read about these on NTN!! That sounds preetycool, I figure they would have to be preet lousy eps to be scraped like that though :P
The only way I think we might get to see them is if they release them on DVD as a bonus maybe... Or if they are shown on Fox for some reason,

Nickokapo 04-12-2003 05:58 PM

Yeah i havent thought about the dvd release, but it sounds like a good idea...like when movies have the cutted scenes as extras, these extras could be the rejected episodes :D now the more reason for me to want old toon dvds
But we dont even know if they exist yet...sigh :p
The other chance would be fox airing em yup, i think they have the rights to the tmnt airings or something, but i dont know about that.

Duke 04-12-2003 06:55 PM

That would be great if there were missing eps. Not the fact that they are missing but that there are more eps. Does anyone know if this eps exist where would they fit into the old show? Like are they red sky or old fox eps?

Raven 04-12-2003 06:58 PM

I hope there are more eps that are missing

but good question red sky or that other one

Duke 04-13-2003 12:29 PM

I emailed one of the original animators yesterday and he said sorry but he was clueless.

Nturtle 04-13-2003 04:02 PM

Hmmm... methinks the best place to go about this would be FHE or whatever its called now

Nickokapo 04-14-2003 11:35 AM

Judging for what was said in the ninja turtles network main page (the episodes were lacking in the action departament and focused more on the humor) i couuld bet they're not red sky eps.
To that i say YAY :P
Now about FHE, family home entertainment only released the home videos, so i doubt they would have anything to do, you could ask them if they are going to release the lost episodes on video, but there's the chance that they have no idea the episodes where even made, they just release them on video.
Contacting an animator was a smart move, but if they didnt know nothing about this there might be 2 possibilities, that you got the wrong animator, or that the episodes were indeed written but never animated.
Or they might not even exist at all.
Again, remember this is just a rumor.

SavantiRomero 04-14-2003 11:47 AM

Mike or was it Mark Wolfe would know.

Wolf Studios.

Nickokapo 04-14-2003 03:25 PM

Yeah, murakami swolf swenson animated it (it's one of my fave animation studios actually, they animated my 2 most favorite toons, tmnt and toxic crusaders :) )
I've heard it doesnt exists anymore, so good luck locating it  tho if any of you do and can contact em, that'd rock.

Jephael 04-14-2003 04:37 PM

They went out of business? I guess that explains why Artisan owns the original series, otherwise Mirage would've regained the rights to it.

Nickokapo 04-14-2003 04:47 PM

Yup!At least that's what i've read over here...i'll try find more info about this, but im kinda sure they did as i havent seen any new animations from em.

azure turtle 04-14-2003 05:53 PM

It'd be sweet if there really were missing episodes. Hmm... I can't think of where they may fit in, however. :ohwell:

Nturtle 04-14-2003 08:03 PM

My guess is somewhere between 1989 and 1993

azure turtle 04-18-2003 01:08 PM

I think you're right, Nturtle. Not unless they're red sky eps that were supposed to be some sort of finale. I don't know how the last episdoe ended.

Nturtle 04-20-2003 10:25 AM

Well I searched the Library of Congress' online archives for an hour+

The history of my exploits is documented in the General TMNT discussion, so.... ONWORD HO!!!! *cracks his whip and snow dogs pull him along*

Nickokapo 04-20-2003 04:36 PM

I don't think, if they indeed existed, that the episodes would be red sky ones because it is rumored they're more humorous than anything...but it's possible

Any luck? :D All i found in my library a couple of years ago was a tmnt tape with ratking's episode in it (they had a bunch of tapes including cartoon ones)

Nturtle 04-20-2003 04:56 PM

Nope...
Although the Library of Congress has a HELLUVA lot of TMNT stuff, it didn't have any new episodes as promised.. except for one called "Michaelangelo messes up" which it listed under 1991 but isn't on the official site I think. There were 2 other episodes on there that I found were listed under 1991 but on the official sitee were under 1990, somebody screwed up...

And there was none called "shredder in love" I think the dude who said so was pulling our leg, but anyways, someday, I'll just go to the Library of Congress and watch TMNT all day!!
