What is your favorite Holiday/Time of year?
 

For me its Halloween/fall. There is just something about that time of year that makes me feel very nostalgic. There is a certain smell in the air. The trees turning a yellow/orange. And best of all, the temperature is just right. It hovers right around 60-65 degrees. Just perfect.

And who doesn't love Halloween? Dressing up, scaring people, candy, just too much fun to be had for one single night.

So, what's yours?

I'd have to say Christmas is my favorite holiday. Despite how some people might go overboard with the decorations, they're kind of nice to see. Plus Christmas is just the holiday I miss the most when it passes. I also like sending out Christmas cards to family and friends. The one thing I don't like about that time of year though, is how the weather tends to get cold, at least where I live.

Summer can be pretty good too, except for when it gets scorching hot outside. What I like most about summer is that it's the period where the sun is out longer. That's why I'm happy that daylight savings time is upon us.

I get that when Halloween is over. Just goes too quick.

I'm not really big on any holidays but I sure do love fall. You expressed my love for it perfectly in your opening post, Samhain.

I love fall for the weather , halloween ,

and my birthday is sep. 28th , and my girlfriends is sep. 29th.

so those 48 hours are always great.

My favorite is Christmas time. I know this sounds corny, but that time of year seems almost magical, and snow turns me into a little kid again on the inside every time.

Overall I'm a summer person. I like it over 90 degrees, severe thunderstorms, and tornadoes (I never got to see one though), but my exception is Christmas. I like the spirit of Christmas; lights, Christmas tree which involves my dad and I eating warm finger food (cheese sticks, small cheese blocks, nuggets, honey, pepperoni slices, pizza puffs, tots, like that), listening to Christmas CDs while setting up the tree. Baking cookies, and yes even the dreded extended relatives. I really shouldn't complane; I mean my aunt/uncle do give me a gift card to Best Buy, because they know my VERY high level of interest with electronics and Best Buy. My old Christmas favorite was, of course, presents, but I grew out of that and made that like my 3rd or 4th most important part.
