ATTN:TMNT MOC Toy collectors
i have a question about figures
on the origional 4 turtles, were there any versions, besides teh 1988 ones with the Fan Club form, that had any other paper inserts? what year does this look like? http://ebay2.ipixmedia.com/abc/M28/_...6e73d0/i-1.JPG |
Well, it's a 1988 figure, but I have a feeling I'm being set up...:)

well josh i know there were many re-releases to the orional TMNT toys, 1988, 1990, and some other's, and i don't really know the difference
|
All I know is that the orginals all have the induvidual TMNT Chars on the sides of the box...so that pic up there IS one of the originals...
|
The figures with the fanclub forms are the very original figures. Those are the figures with the "squishy heads" as we call 'em.
After the original run of these figures, they were still making them and they all looked virtually the same but they did not have the fanclub form inside. All of these figures had solid heads. The one in the picture is definately an original. |
sweet guys thanks
i won an auction yesterday for leo, raph, and don and they all had that peice of paper in them the the discription was 1990, i thought somethin was off :D |
The later releases had different cards, too.

First Released figures came with the following: - 1988 Date - Fan Club Form (White Folder paper insert behind the weapons) - Soft Head (Head is cast in rubber and has no seam lines) - Back of Package depicts 10 Figures. - Back Of Package States "Be A Mutant Turtle! Join The Turtle Team Fan Club. See Details Inside" Just like the photo below: http://home.earthlink.net/~leosgal/PHOTOS/FCFOffer.jpg Other versions from the 88 year include: - Fan Club Form Offer is written on back of package but Paper Insert was not included. - Figures come with Pop Up Display Inside - Figures come with Pop Up Display and an offer for the Fan Club but the paper wasn't included. - Figures come with Hard Plastic Heads. (There were released after all the other versions). It's believed that all the figures from the first wave (except April) came with the Fan Club form. I've only seen the 4 TMNT, Bebop and Rocksteady with Forms. I have yet to see Shredder, Foot Soldier and Splinter. But they all exist with Soft Heads (again not including April) because I own all of them. My listing will probably help you learn a lot about the ToyLine. I've devoted years to compiling the most accurate list possible. Besides, I own almost everything that's listed so I know it's accurate. Once I finish the revisions the list will not only look nicer but it will be easier to look through. Hope this helps you out. |
