I have his Leo as my profile pic and had nooooo idea it was a Ross Campbell, pretty versatile artist! His Shredder is awesome! Maybe a few e-mails to IDW will swade them. Tristan Jones and Ross Campbell...sounds AND looks like a good combo to me!!!!

There was a rumour flying around that Ross and I were working on a secret TMNT project for whoever the rumoured publisher was early last year. I emailed Ross about it and we'd both heard the same thing. Not entirely sure where it came from, but I love Ross's art, and he's a really great dude in general. If you haven't checked out Wetmoon, Shadoweyes or any of his other creator-owned works then you're doing yourself a massive disservice.

I love his work, he is amazing. I hope IDW gets him I am not sure if he could "double dip" tho, or what his contract is with DH.

These drawings are truly a unique and simply amazing portrayal of the Turtles. The artist is mooncalfe on deviant. I love the Donatello pic.

Anybody who draws Critters fanart is pretty awesome in my book.

I'll add him to the list of "people I'd love to see draw TMNT comics on a regular basis".

Those are pretty awsome drawings get this guy for IDW.

Ross's covers were the only reason I bought "Bad Moon Rising" lol.

I really dig the first drawings (Eastman-like, in ways) but I'm not in love with his redesigns further down the page that seem to deliberately cater to what little we've seen of what the Nick cartoon is doing. Almost like, "Look at me! I can draw Nick TMNT!"

But it's nice artwork and he's very talented.

All those drawings "deliberately cater[ing] to what little we've seen of what the Hick cartoon is doing" are from Feb. 2010. Yeah, when a whole lot of nothing had been seen from Nickelodeon.

OK, when I'm wrong I'm wrong.

No. You're just jumping to dumbass conclusions because other people's interpretation of the TMNT doesn't match your own.

I was going to go with, "the uncanny similarities that stuck out to me in the artwork coupled with the timing of the article," but I'm wrong on all counts and admittedly had a bit of a kneejerk reaction.

Interesting that there was an attempt to get the TMNT comics license last year. Of all places Dark Horse too. One of the many publishers that us 'dromers had been thinking about. Pretty interesting that Ross had actually done some covers for Mirage too. I don't mind his style but it does seem like he's some Moebius like artist on the turtles somewhat but also the style of some other comic artists that I can't think of right now.

Dark Horse still publishes Usagi, right? Could have seen a TMNT/Usagi crossover...

Or TMNT vs. Predator, and I could die happy.
