FORUM PORTRAITURE

yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay!

so in that vein, I'd love to open up a new thread! one where we post portraits we've done of ourselves or OTHER PEOPLE"S Forum Avatar.

The only thing i did wanna ask is that you please remember to ASK PERMISSION before you go drawing someone else's avatar. A person's avatar is usually their own original character, and it just makes people happier to know that you NOTICE that and ASKED permission before using it!

Other than that, let's see what your interpretation of our Fellow Forum Members looks like!

I"m gonna kick it off w/ a pair of familiar faces!!!!
AZURE

well there's two of mine! what've you drawn? HT? kali? Persephoni? CookSux? BigThew? Zenrick? EVERYBODY ELSE?

Hmm the only fanart I posted was of my own character Jin. I did have a plan on doing some other people on the board tho...

Oooh Oooh somebody draw me! Please? I would be forever in your debt!

hehe.

actually drawing forum members was almost as cool as drawing the TMNT. heh. Here's KALI:

and the cutest one of Machias Banshee :

http://www.thetechnodrome.com/fanart...irlMachias.jpg

the hirangana says: "KAWAII DESU NE!!" "NANI...?"
or Machias: SOOOO CUUUUTE, isn't it?!
Splinter: What...?

dude I love those pictures you have talent and its a good talent!!!!!!!1

:o

Sooooooooooooo is someone gonna do one of me?

Those pictures were fantastic.
My Avater is my comic charactor Whiteshell. I'd be honored If you'd draw a Whiteshell/Tetsu pic for this thread. The link at the bottom of the page is the comic and you'd get a good view of him there.

Well I did this one a few days ago of some of the people I've made friends with here.
Whee!
Left to right, top to bottom: Kyabetsu, Vespera, sss979 (w/sai), and me (Ninja School Drop Out).

This is an old one of Scary Giganto-Head Bevin.
Fear the head!

And a sprite my friend George made for me of a character of mine who is essentially a parody of myself.
Oh she'll kill ya

I have others of me (I'm so vain), but I'll just chill on the bandwidth for the moment. Unfortunately I don't know most of the other people in here well enough to draw them yet. :embarass:

Edit: Oh yeah, they're Geocities links, copy and paste, yadda yadda.

--Bevin

thanks, Mp and Tetsu! that's very sweet of you. I'm glad you like my work.

As for drawing people, heh. you can ask Mouse and SkeletonCrew about this one: i tend to take on projects faster than i FINISH them... heeh... so i've always got a to-do list. but, Tetsu, since you've got a definite character with a background story that you'd posted and i can follow (and i think is a really cool idea :D ) if you'll be patient with me... (and i do mean REALLY patient... SC's been waiting for her birthday drawing for, um, 2 monthes now?) i'd like to take a crack at drawing you!

I hope Cqb doesn't mind too much, but it's hard to draw people without either knowing them well or at least knowing if there's a character or something that they want to be seen as.... cause really, i wouldn't know where to start with his. :-?

but ANYWAYS... this thread isn't just supposed to be MY art... i wanna see your stuff TOO. *Looks happily at Persephohi's* she's got the right idea! if nobody's drawn you, post a SELF-portrait! (heh  and since i KNOW that Tetsu's ALREADY drawn Whiteshell ELSEWHERE, i KNOW Tetsu'll post a version for us!) *is giddy w/ anticipation*

okay: 2 more? SUUUUURE!!

this one is MOUSE. i've not seen her around for a while, but she's a gargoyle fan in ADDITION to the TMNT. so naturally, her avatar was a gargoyle (heh, her avatar's OLDER than the one i drew, but i couldn't resist) it's BABY MOUSE!!

okay, this one... uh, i had to EDIT to be able to post it here. there is a non-censored version in the adults-only section of Tinselcat's website. my "www" link is to my all-age gallery on her page. if you wanna see it bad enough to hunt that down, then i guess you win. *shrug* but here's the EDITTED version... (and mods, if that's STILL too risque, lemme know, i'll GLADLY take it down, but she's all covered!)

I had Vespera's permission (and even encouragement  ) to do this one. It's a portrait of VESPERA BLAZE, Vespera's character from the RPG based on her avatar. The Character was a stripper/dancer at a local NY club.... hence the, um... well... you'll see.

heh. um. just cause i gotta make this joke before some one else does, cause it's inevitable really... She's got nice cans, huh?...

ha ha ha.
okay. i'm done. but i think Andy Warhol would approve. Ves is "M'm! M'm! Good!" :P

Heh.. wowza. This place is just rippin with pics!

Well, I don't draw other people that much, me being the busy but lazy sort... but I did fall victum to the Let's Draw Azure Fad from awhile back:

http://www.turtlequest.com/art/images/azuremango.gif

And also Martin, Az's bag of sawdust...
http://www.turtlequest.com/art/images/azuremartin.jpg

HT, Those are brilliant!

*shrugs* Neh... thanks. :D

Tis a scary thing to realize I can draw like Lawson (City at War) if I wanted too.

hee hee it's MARTIN!! i love that little sandbag just for all the trouble he caused! heh. yaaaaay HT! more azure pics! MORE! there's NEVER enough AZURE!!

lol
okay... um.. two more?

this is TinselCat! she hosts alot of my art, writes incredible FanFiction and draws like nobody's business. Sadly, she also goes MIA from the drome for long stretches at a time. *sniffle.* i miss her!

http://pic6.picturetrail.com/VOL144/...7/23496803.jpg

and i found the GOOD one i drew of Machias Banshee! ... i had to edit it, like the Vespera picture, to make it fit the PG-13 limit... but it's all good now!

http://pic6.picturetrail.com/VOL144/...7/23544422.jpg

:o :toops: Heh, I remember that

I did a pic of Azure not long back...well, two but one really sucked.

I love this one the best. Its a photo manip, but it got me an award in the fanart awards... :D

http://www.geocities.com/azureturtle...turtlebaby.jpg

Both of those were amazing.
The one of Machi is very Dinosaur like.
Like something out of a sexy version of Dinotopia.
And The Tinsel cat one is just plain cool!

I've seen most of those, they're all very good :D Specially the tinselcat one is very well colored.
I'd do some forum based art...maybe of azure or nturtle because turtles rock  but i'd have to get permission or something.

Heh.. I remeber seeing those two as well.

Oh.. and Tinselcat had done an ink sketch of HT, for me to CGI color awhile back, but of course, it's not colored yet. If you guys are really dying to see, I can post her lineart... :D

DO IT, HORSETECHIE! POST IT!!!

lol. if she were here, i'd pester her to post her PIMP DADDY $PLINTER and his LADIES one... she SENT me a copy.... heh. heck...

TINSELCAT MADE THIS. I DID NOT. IT'S REALLY COOL, SO YOU SHOULD TELL HER SO!!

PIMP DADDY $PLINTER & HI$ LADIE$:
kyabetsu the bunny, SkeletonCrew the Goth, Kali the Demon, Tinselcat on his left, and Machias Banshee at his feet.
http://tcplanet.thetechnodrome.com/Splinterhoscolor.jpg

she should pop up and take credit for that. *shouts* TINSELCAT!! WHERE ARE YOU?!?!?!

*crickets*
... no tinselcat...
*sniffle*

I've seen most of these pictures before, they are all great, namely Azure and Martin!!
That Pimpin' Splinter by TC is hillarious too!!!

Yeah Tinselcat and Azure haven't been around lately, its been kind of boring without all the craziness we used to have with them....*sai*

Tinsel Cat's Pic is Great.

You know Pimpin' ain't easy but if you're sellin' it, sellin' it, sellin' it,
IT'S ALRIGHT!
