For what its worth, he posted on his Twitter (link) that he was just contacted by Nick to work on the new show. Not sure if this qualifies as "news worthy" here but I'd thought I'd pass it along. Cheers.

Would like to know more about what position he would go into, but it is cool seeing the dude get a offer to work on the show. I like his work.

Hmm. Kinda weird considering what his work looks like. I mean it's vastly different in comparison to what we've seen from Nick.
I'm definitely curious as to what position he'd have... Congrats to him though, he's a beast.
I'd like to see him on comics if anything.

Jester, I see the comparison, and it is sound! That April portrait is truly great...

I would really like to know what his position will be. Seeing how he was able to capture the spirt of each of those characters is amazing. I really dig the Casey Jones painting he has.

He is an amazing artist, even bought a Shredder print, but nothing in his portfolio tells me he would be good for animation.

I would bet concept artist for future characters, I could imagine his style and depth would translate well for a CGI animator

Keep in mind guys that he says he was only offered to work with them. No idea if he actually accepted or not.

I really hope he does. That would be a good job for him.

His April O'Neil piece is the only deviantart work (TMNT anyway) I've seen that has been able to achieve over 100,000 views. As of now, it's been viewed over 131,000 times and still climbing in popularity. That work has been reposted seemingly everywhere over the net for the past few weeks.

Now why can't we get a show with character designs like that!?

lol, yeah but would you be willing to pay Pay-per-View prices to see each episode? I'm guessing that's about how much it would cost in order for the studio to make money off animating such detailed designs for a children's cartoon show.

Only if he can digitally paint the exact style the show is in. I stand by concept artist until I see or hear more. He took classic characters and brought them "to life" in a pretty amazing way which is exactly what they need
