New characters - what would you want?
 

While we keep talking about them bringing back older characters, its pretty obvious the show will introduce some all-new characters and new villains. The 4kids series introduced a number of new characters and concepts that were never done before in any previous series.

I fully expect Nick to create some new villains and allies for the Turtles that have never been done before.

I'm hoping that we get some new mutants that are actually memorable, not silly nor ridiculous looking. Something along the lines of Groundchuck/Dirtbag, Scumbug/Wyrm and some of the other more memorable third tier mutants.

I'd also like to see some more new friends for the Turtles.

Of course.....Cybercube would make another thread.... :lol: only joking.... Hmm..... I think I would like to see a female mutant turtle to join the team!! lol only joking! :lol::tcouch: dont shoot me!

I would like to see another couple of mutants tangle with the turtle and then maybe the leader be slash??? Idk I would also like to see a foot member compete against Soki for control

I would like to see more recurring villains so we don't have Shredder as the villain every week. Something like a Bishop or Lord Dregg would be cool. And please, I hope they limit the amount of mad scientists and generic mobsters.

I dunno what I want really, most especially considering the fact that I don't truly know the tone yet.

All I do know, is that I pretty much hated all of the original characters from 2k3 & I hope I don't feel the same way this time around.

I am open to the idea of new characters though, just 'cause I feel 4kids screwed up doesn't mean that other venues will.

I feel for you. I hated all those new characters on the 2k3 series. I did not like the Ancient One because of his behavior, Bishop because he looked like Agent Smith (also his name can either go back to a character from Aliens or X-Men), Serling the C-3PO rip off, the annoying Cody Jones, and those Guardian Ninjas that took over throughout. And don’t get me started about Angel. She became an annoyance to the story. What 4Kids did was kind of unoriginal, especially for a guy named Bishop. I hope on the 2k12 show, we get characters like Bebop and Rocksteady back. I always thought they were cool. Krang should come back, along with Mona Lisa, probably Venus De Milo (for a short time if the writers decide to kill her off or something), and more. Still, I want to see the fifth turtle…becoming Slash!!!! That would be so cool! For original characters, I don’t really know. I really want to see realistic villains, one without superpowers or anything called supernatural. However, it would be fun to include some vampires and dragon lords.

Uh, Angel was only in a few episodes throughout the series. She wasn't in every single one. And Bishop was badass. I really liked his character.

As for new characters, I don't know. It'll depend on what tone they use and how the characters are established.

I hope never ever to see Hun he was one character who sux.I hope for new powerful vilians and some cool mutants it is mutation in progress after all.:P

How in the world can people not like Hun and Bishop? They were by far the two best new villains in that series.

I have no problem with new characters. Change can be good. However, I will say what I do NOT want. The characters I most enjoy are those that can be biologically/scientifically explained. I do not care for the Justice Force, Radical, Carnage, Ninja Tribunal, etc.

I realize the turtles themselves seem to contradict my reasoning but I feel science fiction satisfies my scientific criteria. Silver Sentry has super-powers. Superman... no thanks. The difference is the turtles could be explained by the mutagen. Even aliens work because they are simply biological beings from another world. It's when you get into the supernatural where I loose interest in TMNT.

Personally I am up to see them try just about everything. If we could just stay away from characters that I just think end up looking ridiculous in a bad way... like say the Garbageman. I still can't believe he got two episodes and almost a third.

I actually loved Bishop because he added a realistic quality to the series by having the government getting involved. I would really like to see something else along this line done, but it's hard for me to judge what I want with as Powder said I don't really know what tone they are going for yet.

The tone is the most important thing at the moment. Once we know that it will be easier to make a wish list. However with that said I would like to see new characters or new versions of old favorites get a shot regardless of tone.

I have faith in Nick's creativity, as well as my tolerence...:lol:

hm.. new characters... i want a female foot ninja that will be tall and about 20 years old i woula also like her to wear glasses andto be the shredder right hand man! Also a big mutant cat with 2 heads as the shredder left hand man will be awesome.

I am sure the writers will come up with the new characters for the series.Must of what we are talking about here are characters from the 2003 version.I do want to see some origianal characters.I agree I am sick of the mad scientists that we had in the OT version.

I agree with this 100%. How people disliked these two villains is beyond me. They both permeated the Mirage comic book universe because they were so friggin' cool.

that will be pretty cool! a ninja version of irma or something like this. that what i meant. and why not? it will be something new and original for the new series!
