Hi De Hi De Hi De Ho

Hey, since I found out that I'm not the only jazz fan here. I figured I'd start a thread about the great Jazz-man Cab Calloway!

Minnie the Moocher. Probably his most famous too. :D

It's not just my Fav. Cab. song.
It's my favorite song.

did his jazz song play in some cartoons show?

"It don't mean a thing" most definately is MY favorite!
"it don't mean a thing if it ain't got that swing! Do Wah Do wah do wah!"

Hmm Minnie the Moocher or Is you is or is you ain't... that's a tough one

oh i got a man tha's always LATE.
anytime we got a DATE.
but i love him. yes i love him.
i'm gonna walk right up to his GATE
an'see if we can't get it straight!
cause i want him.
aw, i'm gonna ask him...
Is you is or is you AIN"T my baby?
the way you're acting lately makes me doubt.
you have always been my baby baby.
seems the flame in your heart has gone out....

oh man... i could just keep singin.... an' singin... and then i'd have ta remember the REST OF THE WORDS...

but yeah... what about other Jazz folk...? like Cole Porter? or Julie London? or Peggy Lee?...

mmm... i've got the world on a string... sittin' on a rainbow.... got the string around my FINGER!!!

*goes away singing*

Those are all good (but what about Benny Goodman, Glenn Miller, Ella Fitzgerald, Diana Krall, Charlie Mingus, Django Reinhardt, etc.)
Well, Let's face it Cab was the man. But, We could easily talk about the other musicians you and I listed. We can talk all kinds of jazz in this thread! :D
Let's swing Hep-Cats!!! :) :D
yeah!

Glenn Miller is my hero.

Ella Fizgerald. 8)
