Who'd wanna see Null in the IDW comic?

http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-EvlPGcFimz...sshhhhhh01.jpg

I would.

And I mean, if the IDW camp is willing to try and make a camp whiny talking brain (Krang) into a credible threat/badass (I mean, I guess I'm just assuming that's what they're doing)... I'm reasonably certain taking a mass-murdering character (he wiped out most of the Mutanimals) that was essentially the Devil shouldn't be a problem.

I'd be all for it. He was the best original villain of the Archie series and, well, the best villain in the series PERIOD.

I think he'd transition really well into modern comic storytelling, though I'd be cool if they do what Archie did and transition him away from "evil corporate executive" and into a more demonic villain, as the whole "Lex Luthor" style businessman-villain has become abit cliche, these days.

Seriously. The last thing the world needs is another villainous businessman dedicated to eradicating free enterprise and polluting the environment. :tconfuse:

Yeah I dont want anything like that, but he sounds like he was a demonic human/Demon which sounds pretty BA to say the least

I'd say yes, but I have a feeling that Krang is basically going to be Null, so...

Jester 10-26-2011 09:35 PM

Hey! You stole my thread!

It'd be awesome to see Null. I wonder if he and Krang could be either allies, or maybe even antagonists, with the poor Turtles trapped in the middle.

Actually....I could see Null as a "private sector" version of Krang's "government official" and could be trying to come up with his own super soldier to sell to the highest bidder. Heck, the Foot could be part of that, stealing the information for him to reverse engineer.

In fact...if Tom Waltz doesn't use this idea he's a complete idiot, because it's the best idea ever! ;)

I thought I would bump this thread up to see how opinions are now are due to his likely presence. Also, for Jester to follow up Past Jester's thought.

While Null can be fleshed out and truly explored which I am all for Armaggon is the best thing to come out of Archie's TMNT Adventures line.

They've been hinting that at issue 50 both Shredder and Krang will be defeated, so the book is going to need a new major villain after them. My guess is Karai will take over the Foot Clan after and Hun/Bebop/Rocksteady will go to the Purple Dragons.

With Old Hob and his mutants becoming the new Mutanimals I'd say its only a matter of time.

I'd like to add that lot of Krang's IDW backstory is the same as his Archie backstory, where he in fact was a genocidist warlord (murdering all of Wingnut's race, etc.).
What IDW did is added him some more layer, with him actually doing everything for his own race's survival, instead of his pure own greed.

But yeah, they could make him work in IDW, and there are already points where they can integrate him into the story.
What would be nice if they could make him reflect on some of Nick's recent policies towards TMNT... *wink-wink*

Well, that Kuhn art is a huge nod towards his inclusion. I never expected seeing Null sooner than Bishop or Savanti.

True, but still, he is pretty unique, cuz he is not just an "evil coporate executive", but Satan himself, who's goal is not earning money and success, but causing harm and pain to the world. He doesn't have any desires for world domination, and is not driven by the blindness of money-lust, instead he is like The Joker, but with the ability to control his own madness, and manipulate people (and alien insectiod races).

snake 11-01-2014 01:59 PM

YES!

Null would be such a great villain after the shredder/kraang story wraps up.

CyberCubed 11-01-2014 02:36 PM

Interesting how in the screencap Andrew posed, Ninjara actually calls him a, "Demon."

TMNT has never really touched the underworld with demons all that much beyond Archie, it'll be interesting to see again. Was there any Mirage comic that dealt with Hell? I don't remember.

Cryomancer 11-01-2014 03:19 PM

Since IDW already has a bunch of otherworldly immortal whatevers, yeah sure, he'd fit right in.

I wonder if these four baddies will also have their return?

(they need serious redesign tho. maybe except War)

What are you referring to here?

Comic scan =/= screencap

I'm pretty sure that's explicitly the reason, considering that that image was released yesterday....

The censor they force on the comic (eg. no kill policy), or the stupid "disclaimer" they put on the Mirage books, about how it doesn't represent their values... because they don't want themselves to be represented by a quality mature comic book, that would be like so embrassing...

I'm also seeing Nick turning TMNT back into a kids franchise, which is the opposite of what PL did through the 4Kids cartoon and Mirage books, and I'm not happy about it.

But then, I don't know how Null could represent these issues...

Is that actually a thing? I'd only seen speculation.

Tazi 11-01-2014 04:26 PM

I think Bobby confirmed it in Turtle Podcast, but I'm not 100% sure.
