New TMNT games info
 

Dan - Howdy,

me - Could you tell me if there are any plans to release TMNT Hero Clix figures?


Dan - There's nothing definite in the works that I've heard of. The problem we have is that Playmates Toys owns the exclusive rights to produce 3D TMNT figures of any size (including gaming miniatures), so we'd have to get Playmates' permission to do something for the Hero Clix game.

I believe that we're trying to get Playmates approval to do so, but I don't know how far the talks have progressed.

me - Also, are their any plans for a TMNT Card Game (CCG like Magic: the Gathering)?


Dan - 4Kids does plan to do something along those lines for 2004. Hopefully it will happen.

I was actually wondering if they were gonna do any Hero Clix-type thing with TMNT. Seemed a natural--hope that comes through someday. I don't really play the game, (was gonna start, but I'm more interested in the pieces themselves than the actual gaming mechanics :wink: ). And though my CCG days are over, it might be fun to see a TMNT CCG--maybe I'd collect rather than play.

Oooh.. so that's why Playmates, of all people, are making the cold cast statues. When the Leo statue came in my comic book guy was in awe. "It looks so great! Can you believe Playmates made it?"

Now, lets just hope that 4Kids stays FAR FAR away from Upperdeck :lol: . I don't think I could sit through another one of their rule books (first card captors, then i tried to learn yugioh from it). :roll: .
