gobo's ULTIMATE TMNT-VIDEO MARATHON!!

If I post about it now, I'm more likely to stick with this plan.

So, I'm planning to watch every official TMNT video production I can get ahold of over the summer, in preparation for NickTMNT. So, let's go through the list to see what I have access to and what I don't.
  • Fred Wolf Films - I have 186 eps in DVD quality ATM & 2 others on VHS.
  • Bee Media's OVA - Got 'em both on DVD.
  • Tour-toiseshell - I have Making Of, Coming out of Their Shells Tour & Gettin' Down in Your Town Tour on VHS.
  • Christopher Films - Imported a DVD with both Barney-wannabe eps.
  • the movies Have all 4 on DVD, movie 1 Music Videos, Behind The Shells & Vanilla Ice's promo Ninja Rap VHS
  • The Next Mutation - The uncut version is currently on Netflix, but I have previously unwatched, butchered UK-edit DVDs if they're taken down before I get to them.
  • Project Blue Line - Don't have, but how is this official anyway? :ohwell:
  • 4KIDS - Have all & love it. ^_^

Anything else need to go in the list? I need to do some calculating to see how long I should give myself to accomplish all this. By the time I'm done, I'll probably be too numb to notice right away if NickTMNT was even worth watching. :P

BTW, do ya think I should be concerned that I have this kinda time on my hands? O_o

4 reasons. Cam, Barry, Townsend and Rob.

Also, what are these Christopher Films "barney wanna be" episodes you speak of?

Unless corrected, I'm gonna assume you mean "Yes you do [have this kinda time on your hands]"... which I totally already knew. :P

Ah, you're gonna watch a Christmas Special in the middle of Summer? lol.

gobo 01-31-2012 05:54 PM

You should watch it on June 25th (Half-Christmas... great holiday!)

Don't forget to watch all of the Playmates, FHE promos, and other TMNT commercials as they were all officially licensed products. I'd also throw in certain voice actor interviews, such as my videos I posted as it contains some hypothetical questions as the character itself. Don't forget the Power Rangers crossover as well from the Next Mutation era. I'd basically spend about two months straight watching everything.

Everything done that you listed comes out to approximately 8500 minutes. But there is also around 700 minutes of voice actor/creators/crew members interviews from me, Michelle, and others that you should watch on Youtube that are related to TMNT. So, that's about 9200 minutes altogether of TMNT, or about 153 hours total! Basically, if you spend three months, you can watch about 100 minutes a day, or about 4/5 episodes or one movie and see it all and still have some free time.

I just watched that on YouTube...uh...heh...heh...best to watch it with your eyes closed, because it's great hearing the original voices again...but those costumes are just painful, lol.

But you can't beat Raphael imitating Groucho Marx, lol. April's really funny too. Not to mention:

Donatello: Hey Michelangelo, aren't ya buying a ticket?

Michelangelo: Don't have to, dude, I already bought an RTD monthly pass!

Donatello: Ohhhh!

Lol

Rounding all episodes up to 30 minutes each (not including movie and such), they would take 139 hours, back-to-back. I honestly thought it would be more than that. :ohwell: So, spreading it all out over the summer, it should be a piece of cake. :D

The only thing I find painful about it, that TRULY lessens the quality, is the villain.

Gridlock?

At least his little device is the Giga-meter Egon uses in Ghostbusters II, that was cool. The stupidest thing about it is the Turtles living in LA with no explanation.

You noticed that too? Lol

Oh absolutely, that felt totally wrong, they are New Yorkers (even if Mikey thinks he's from Malibu, lol). :tcool:

I would throw in 'Cartoon All-Stars To The Rescue' just for good measure.

Very true, it's like a cameo appearance. Michelangelo has finally hit guest star status. Bet he was hard to live with after that, lol. :tcool:

After each viewing you need to update this thread with what you've watched. Good luck and better start popping that corn!
