Is Eastman doing the color this time around? |

I already own it in at least six different incarnations, which is probably on the low end among most TMNT fans on this Forum. Quote:

Wait, so this isn't the same colored version from 2009?
I'll... have to get this, if it's an all new coloring job. I don't know why, but I feel this strange urge to see how the coloring was done THIS time around (it'll be the third colorization of #1 of it is a new job). I'm a sucker. |

After all, you do need to write a "Mirage TMNT#1 through its various reprintings" Feature Article. |

Oh man. Everytime, I say to myself "this is the last time you buy this comic". But then it's not. I'm helpless.

The only copy I have is digital.

Yeah, noticed the sig on the front, so not Lavigne's work then. Still have to find that colour edition myself, for a decent price at least. Have the graphic novels though. Did it say when it was due for release?

Am I interpreting it right that this is a series that will reprint Vol. 1 issues in colour?
If that's the case I could actualy be on board with this. Although it kinda makes the IDW series a more than a little redundant. |
No it doesn't. It's like apples and oranges.
|
I don't even know how many versions of the first issue I now own :tlol:
Still going to buy this when it comes out though :tgrin: |

Despite the new twists it looks like the upcoming issues will cover the same ground as the early Vol. 1 issues. Mousers, Splinter kidnapped, Leo ambushed by Foot etc. Now we have the original version of the stories being released at the same time. In a way it's kinda neat but in another it does make one redundant. |
Using that logic, the 4Kids series was redundant because it told the same stories as the comics, and also the 1st movie.

Not to mention the 4kids series and the movies were designed to be watched by a larger and very different audience to those that had read the comics. Here we've got two similar stories being published around the same time and in the same medium. You coiuld argue this would've happened anyway with The Ultimate Collection but that would be more expensive and being black and white would put a lot off so wouldn't step on the monthly book's toes. |
