Custom Eric Talbot style Raphael action figure
Custom Eric Talbot style Raphael...with TWO head sculpts!
head sculpt 1 http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v243/FUGAYZIE/010.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...YZIE/002-1.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...YZIE/004-4.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...YZIE/003-1.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v243/FUGAYZIE/008.jpg head sculpt 2 http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...YZIE/012-1.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...YZIE/013-1.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v243/FUGAYZIE/017.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v243/FUGAYZIE/016.jpg references http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...ZIE/img200.jpg man, I've gotta say Talbot's redition was the most difficult thus far. i absolutly love his style of art. his drawing and painting style is so unique that trying to mimic them was a b!#ch. i also realized that the way he draws the face (full frontal) and his usual angled side shot is hard to translate into a singular 3D head piece. well hopefuly i did him justice. |
Duuuuuude, this is brutally AMAZING!

Damn! This is great!
Who's next? |
Whoa... That head sculpt is fantastic. The figure is amazing, but that head sculpt really sticks out to me. Out of the park my friend.
Man, another stellar sculpt! I think I prefer the 1st head sculpt, but the whole thing is a home run.
Can't wait for Leo. Who can we expect? Berger? |
Aw, man, you're a god. I'm once again blown away. If I were a rich man, I'd buy you, give you a poolhouse and a work room, and have you make me an entire line of Mirage figures. Bread & water would surely suffice, no? :trazz:
man, I love it. Amazing...
absolutely fabulous dude- cant wait to see what you come up with next.
Awesome! I don't think I'm familiar with this artist's style (or that part of the story; did Raph get cut down his face at some point?), but man that's awesome. And hey! You finally got your sais!!! What figure did those come from?
Awesome work!
Amazing!!!
that head sculpt is perfect! Best one so far
Im sure you will win lots of money with your Customs....if you ever change your mind! :D:D:D :tgrin::tgrin:
Great custom....I prefer the second head....:twink: |
Michelangelo, kool75uk1, samhian, discogod, lordmylar06, nickn, mysterycolor, tmnt Canadian, Donnie DBERG, candy kappa, luzmagica - thanks for the compliments and for taking the time to view my work guys :)
Rcg dodge- thanks man. That’s one of the best compliments a customizer can get. Slash32- I wish they were easy to mass produce but they are far from it. Samhain is right, I almost never take on commissions. Slap-happy, jester - thanks! Leo's next of course! I already have the rendition selected and I think it will be well received. No clues though, ya just gotta wait. Probably be a couple weeks. The only thing that I will say is that, like all the others, he will dawn a red bandanna too :) Powder- lol, I am far from that my friend, but thanks for the vote of confidence. A pool house with work room is good, I can do with bread and water as long as its pepperidge farm's cinimon rasin bread. Will there be many ladies in scantily clad bikinis? If so than I'm down. In all honesty I'm having so much fun translating the artist's styles into 3D form that I might keep going once I'm done Leo. Originally I had only planned on making the four brothers. We'll see how far I get. Wes- if you're not familiar with his art than you should definitely check it out. he does a lot of great stuff. He only did one solo issue for volume one of mirage, but he has inked, toned, and lettered sooo many others. Really great stuff. The scar is just something that Talbot likes to draw on him Raphael depictions. There's not story behind it. Thanks for the compliments! |
