The Next Mutation (BLARG!)

Ok, little rant here:

I decided to watch this series to do a review of it, but my god, MY GOD!

What an abortion! How could anyone that even remotely liked the original series think that this was a good idea?

And the POWER RANGERS crossover?

/facepalm

Work of genius?

We have a good few Next Mutation threads, you could have deposited this waste of time in any of them rather than make a new thread

I at first back in 1997 thought that it could have been a good idea provided that it felt like a good continuation of the movie canon. Its a shame, as the ratings were fairly decent at first thanks to Power Ranger's popularity, but it just shows that the world isn't perfect and sometimes the crew just doesn't have the talent and creativity to give the proper execution.

I second Zarius.

BTW, abortion is worse than the Next Mutation.

Yeah, I'm sure abortion is more than marginally worse than NT:TNM. I mean it's bad, but not "baby killin'" bad.

As I said before, it sucks when satire fails to be amusing. Don't ya think? O_o

Alright, way to earn our respect! 5 star thread, guy.

"You guys"? Pfft, don't mix us in there. The OP was the only one to hate on TNM. All us fellas like it. :tcool:

LeoNerdo 05-09-2012 06:53 PM

I prefer TNM over the 3rd movie. That's not saying much but it's true!

chozo_ninpo 05-09-2012 06:58 PM

Holy crap you guys whine a lot, if you don't like a thread, I'm not holding a gun to your head, don't post in it.

Anyways, I had to watch ALL OF IT IN A ROW, and I think the show snarfin' sucks.
It's great that you like it and all, but you don't have to be a dick about my personal opinion on the series.

But hey, if you like watching recycled footage of a motorcycle and hummer over and over and over again, that already speaks enough to me about your level of taste.:trolleye:

btw, "abortion" was a metaphor for something that could have been a cool thing, but was ruined right from the start, most likely in pre-production.

 Oh, you silly overreactor... :P

I'll say that NT:TNM was probably Turtles at it's worst (maybe trumped by Turtle Christmas and Turtle Tunes), but people seem to over exaggerate the badness. Much like Turtle 3.

zkarlette 05-09-2012 09:38 PM

It's pretty terrible indeed, but I'm still watching.. Going on ep 16 :P

Haha! Thank you! Yes, I over emphasize everything, it's my thing. ^_^

Mr.Turtle 05-09-2012 10:44 PM

i donno abt u guys...but the turtles sure look alot fatter to me than they shud be in live shows...

Candy Kappa 05-10-2012 02:51 AM

How does a turtle look fatter?

Can't say their skin looks more "fatter" then the live-action films, I feel it's more opposite, they look like they lack more body fat, in a unnatural manner. I guess perhaps it makes the torso look bigger then compared to the films

Lampy 05-10-2012 04:09 AM

i don't know about you guys... but i was still a naive little kid when i watched the next mutation series... and i gotta say it was awesome. anything Turtles was awesome to me back then. but like i said... i was a naive kid. and i refuse to rewatch the series now cuz i don't want to ruin its awesomeness. yeaaaaa.

Hey bud next time trying to use the "search" tool and find previous threads that pertain to the topic....

But anyway I actually thought the NM was pretty good, but is incredibly cheesy though. I still think the show could have been better.......
