Were there more sparring sessions in 1987 episodes?
 

I remember that when they did sparring sessions, they had some funny moments though pretty insulting...like Leo throwing Mikey against a wall and then Donatello saying like "Yeah, you gotta be cool like the rest of us."

At first I thought they were calling Mikey a nerd. Then I realized I think Donatello meant like for him to keep his emotions in check.

How many episodes did they have sparring sessions in? I only know of Heroes in a Half Shell, Rock Around the Block, and Return of the Fly.

Buddy, you might wanna clean out your ears before watching that episode again. Donatello tells Mikey he needs to KEEP HIS COOL!!!

I always felt that there wasn't enough sparring sessions in any of the animated series, but I'd have to agree that the OT seemed to have more. I seem to remember a number of episodes beginning with the guys working out and sparring before something would happen to set up the events of the episode.

That would make sense, they'd have to burn calories from all those pizzas they ate.

I remember in the first season 10 episode, Splinter suggested the turtles try some sparring to see if their super mutations were gone.

There's an episode where Donatello tells Raphael to, "Give me your best move."

And Raphael throws the sofa at him.

I remember. I love Raphael. :lol:

Those are moments I'm talking about that are hilarious. XD Which episode was that one?

And this why I loved Raph as a kid...for moments like that. What ep was that from again?
