Who thinks Shredder cares for Krang deep down inside?
 

Think about it, why would Shredder risk his life to save Krang from Dregg and his soldiers in season 10? In season 8, when Krang was missing, Shredder threatened to kill April and the others if they didn't bring him back. Krang and him were like an old married couple back in the day, perhaps 'ol Shreddy cares for him deep down inside ;)

Yes, I know they tried to doublecross each other in the past, but I still say he thinks of Krang as a buddy in the later years.

For all the issues with Season 10, Shredder's borderline selfless for Krang's welfare was good character development. He still would have done it in the pre-Red Sky seasons, but he would have done a lot more female-dogging and moaning in the process.

While I miss their snarky banter of the early seasons, I now prefer their Red-Sky interactions in a way. Mostly, as constantly sniping at your teammate, hero or villain, becomes tiresome over time.

Yea I'd say they care for each other like best buds do. They fought a lot but still had each others back at the end of the day.

Well, after losing the Technodrome twice and possibly even Bebop and Rocksteady, they realized they only had each other and had to work together. That scene was cool but maybe Shredder planned to double cross Krang once they had control of Dregg's forces? Or they became friends since they were no longer trying to take over the Earth or Dimension X anymore?

I don't think they ever lost the idea of conquering. It was just they had to deal with other forces in thier way first. I believe the reason Shredder wanted Krang back in Get Shredder was because he had need of Krang's resources. Once the usefulness is at an end he would let anyone grab the alien brain. I do believe they had a friendship and respect that bonded them though neither would ever admit to it.

Yeah, this is true. I forgot about "Get Shredder" as well. Krang, after all, was necessary in locating the Hall of Science and could've helped them start over in New York. Once the two realized they had to work as a team instead of Krang sending them off on a mission, they bonded.
