Donatello makes Meatalhead?

I was looking on E bay where the playmates toys are for sale, and I was reading the back of Donatello's package, and it says he creates Metalhead.

Has this info been released already and I just missed it? or is this the first we've heard?

Jester 06-15-2012 01:46 AM

News to me too...I wonder what his function is then.

Candy Kappa 06-15-2012 02:17 AM

Mr.Turtle 06-15-2012 07:11 AM

i wonder if it costs him a lot to c a dentist ...

Besides what he could be doing with Metalhead, I must say, I love the bio. The last bio I got to find was Leo's on Toy Ark. This is great! Now we have Donnie's, and already this is making me more excited as far as characterization goes.:tsmile:

CyberCubed 06-15-2012 08:14 AM

You guys don't remember how in the old toon, Donatello used Metalhead as a vaccume?

Slade 06-15-2012 09:23 AM

It also says his weapon is the Naginata.

Ravenxl7 06-15-2012 10:31 AM

I KNEW it. after seeing that image of a Kraang attached to Metalhead's head, one of my first thoughts was that maybe Donatelo had made Metalhead. He'll probably be one of the things he creates after discovering the Kraang's technology. Which would explain why the Kraang would be able to control Metalhead, like it appeared to be doing in the book image we've seen.

Meatalhead? Don't you mean "Meatballhead"?? O_o Now, I wonder what Sailor Moon has to do with all this.

Powder 06-15-2012 04:50 PM

*groans so loud it shatters every window in the house*

Ninja Pizza posted the photos of the other bios

Of course he did. It's completely believable that Donatello, a teenager in the sewers, would be able to do what even the best minds at MIT cannot and somehow develop and construct a fully-functioning, AI-equipped android.

Maybe he stole a kraang android body.

We're talking about reptiles who walk, talk, eat pizza and know martial arts. Logic and realism basically go out the window the moment you set foot in the door! Besides the way I see it, in every iteration of the Ninja Turtles Donatello's mind was the most enhanced by the mutation.

MikeandRaph87 06-18-2012 10:12 AM

Could it be played out the opposite this time? Instead of Krang creating Metalhead and Donatello rewiring it what if Donatello creates Metalhead and The Kraang rewire him though would it be for good is the question.

Honestly, I still find him creating an AI-equipped robot with access to Kraang technology less than half as ridiculous as most of the shit he created in the 4Kids series.

"Need a flying car? No problem; let me build one out of JUNK IN THE SEWERS."

We can really only go up from there.

No, I'm totally with Andrew on this. Even if you accept the absurdity of the premise, the presence of other mutants, aliens, ninjas, Lovecraftian monstrosities, etc., Donatello's hyper-intelligence is still capable of stretching suspension of disbelief to its limits if it isn't portrayed right.

But as I said, I fully believe nothing can be more ridiculous in that regard than the 4Kids series.

Some of Don's creations were built around existing vehicles and technology. The Battle Shell was originally the armored car, Mikey's flying skateboard used part of the Utrom hover-skiff I bet (and who is to say he didn't have any of that left over when he built Battle Shell version 3.0 in BTTS that could fly a short distance) and the Shell-Cycle and all the motorcycles they had in "Return of the Justice Force" were probably courtesy of the junk yard.

Missiles and jet engines, however, is where it starts to stretch suspension of disbelief. Kind of hard to find those lying around in a junk yard. I always find the scene in "Membership Drive" where Donny and Leo are exchanging dialogue over the Turtle Taxi hilariously funny because Leo is like "You put WHAT in the trunk?" and Don so casually replies "Jet engines."
