Do you think there will be any deaths allowed in this show?
The 4kids series actually got away with a couple of deaths for both major villains and minor characters. Not to mention some Foot or Triceratons along the way who seemed to be dead, (Mike pulls the grenade pin on a Triceraton's buckle and he explodes off-screen).
Do you think the Nick show will allow any deaths? The Avatar shows on Nick have allowed death, so I hope this does too. |
Probably not. But people will get stung by bees and stuff.
|
It would be ever so slightly implied, if anything. But nothing up front, I'm sure.
|
Watch at the end of episode one of 2k3 it will be that kind of death if any.
|
I doubt it. Not on Nickelodeon. It it was Cartoon Network I'd say yes.

There won't be a lot of them. And Nick won't allow any death (the reason Jet's death is "only" heavily implied in A:TLA is because Nick didn't allow teenage-characters to die on screen). So, will deaths be allowed? Sure. At least for adult characters. Will the writers kill off characters? I don't know. Obviously. Stupid rhetorical question... |

No chance in Hell.
And there's really no need to elaborate, I guess. |

If the show allowed any deaths to happen, it'll most likely be off screen. We do know that Shredder blames Splinter for the death of his "true love" based off what was on his bio.
|
I can see implied deaths that could allow the character to be dead but also brought back. It probably would not have been done like the first replacement leader of the Purple Dragons gang having his heart sliced through for failure but something like Super Shredder dropped the pier on himself and is implied to be dead but could shake it off if the writers ever decide to use the character again.

if batman Brave and the Bold can have deaths, on-screen death mind you, so can this show.
But do we want it, or even need it? |
They'll never show anybody actually being killed, but I don't see why they wouldn't have implied deaths if it's important to the plot. Korra had implied deaths ... heck, even Spongebob has implied deaths.
|
The deaths in the 4Kids series were implied. One of the episodes that had the garbageman saw a captian going down with the ship. All you see his his hat floating in the water.Which gave you a sense that something bad happened.

Only time will tell, I suppose ... but I'm envisioning a much sillier, "slapstickier" sorta show. Wait! What?! Someone was actually killed on "SpongeBob"?! (Or do you just mean that pirate dude?) |
I'm okay with implied deaths, but what I'm not okay with is if any of the characters survive any sort of thing that would qualify as completely/outrageously fatal in most other shows.
Some examples, a villain is dumped in lava and comes out of it like it was pizza sauce. A henchman is caught in a building explosion, he is arrested later with only a few burns and holes in his clothing. I don't want "Character Invulnerability Where Death is Near-Impossible" in this TMNT show. |

It is a cartoon, a little cartoon physics don't hurt

is there any death in kung fu panda?
|
I'm guessing a big, "Probably not." This is a kids' show meant to sell toys and video games to children. The older crowd would probably be happier with the IDW comics or the Mirage hardcover re-releases if they're looking for a little bit of death and some heavier fighting.
Sure, a death or two might be implied within the entire run of the series, but I'm sort of seeing this show as more of the Brave and the Bold-esque love letter to the brighter and more fun-loving adventures of the TMNT franchise and less of the Under the Red Hood-esque DTV comic book retelling that Mirage was trying to get Imagi to do at one point. |
