Is Tang Shen in this show?
 

Splinter apparently has a human daughter, so its only natural his wife was Tang Shen when he was human, right? I wonder if they'll say she died.

Splinter's bio on Nick UK says he lost his family.

I thought it was common knowledge. I mean it says he lost his wife and daughter. I can't imagine them making up a new character for that.

I'm almost positive.

It seems likey that we will see her in a flashback.

Tang Shen, was the lover of Hamato Yoshi, Splinters Master.

And in the new upcoming series Hamato Yoshi and Splinter is the same, just like the Fred Wolf cartoon series.

I think it's pretty obvious that Tang Shen will be either mentioned or hinted at.

Kind of unrelated, but it's always been something worthy of mention that she has a glaringly Chinese name. I wonder how she would have come to be a part of the mostly Japanese Foot, in light of this. Of course, exactly zero continuities have paid any attention to this, and I'm sure that Eastman and Laird just went with something that sounded "Asian."

I would love to see a Tang Shen/Karai retcon if possible where Karai defeats her since she is confirmed.

Defeats her in what sense? I don't think Shen has ever been a warrior to any extent.

We know that Splinter had a family. and that Shredder Blames Splinter for the loss of his love (According to Some Sources) Does anyone think Tang Shen is that love and that His adopted Daughter is Splinters'

pretty sure that was theorized right at the beginning, when we got that information.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: Lets just wait until the show airs before we start making random speculations.

Yes. Tang Shen will be in this, as I know so far. I've read the Mutant Origins books, and Splinter mentions about his family being killed in a fire after he battled the Shredder. Pretty cool reinvention.:tsmile:
