Question about Peter Laird
 

So my dads boss is lin a famous bluegrass band and my dad gets to tour with him all the time. While on tour this month my dad had lunch with his boss, the band, and a few of their friends and one of the friends turned out to be Peter Laird. My dad has seen him with them a few times before but never really got to talk to him. My dad described him spot on from the voice, glasses and that he was shorter than most of them, but my dad called him Bob. Keep in mind my dad knows nothing about TMNT except that I love them so I dont know if that was a mistake on his part from forgetting the name and trying to remember, or if maybe one of the guys there introduced him as Bob.

I was just wondering if PL has ever gone by that name on any projects or if maybe it was an inside joke so that no one would know who he was. All i know is that my dad didnt directly talk with him and that when he left his boss told him "he was one of the creators of Ninja Turtles" and one of the friends traded autographed copy of their cd for an autographed turtles poster.

Famous for being lied to... I'd be pissed if I were you.

I am pissed. Now im really embarassed because PL even said it wasnt him, so i know its not like it was any mistake. He did this before when I was really into the band Owl City, he said the tour bus driver was going to hook us up with meeting him....that was 5 years ago. I dont know if i should ask him why he lied or not, considering our relationship just started to get closer and better after my parents divorce.

Could be that your dad was being goofed on. I could just imagine something like this happening:
DAD'S BOSS: Hey, Bob. I'll bet you $20 bucks I can trick someone into thinking you're that Ninja Turtles guy.
BOB: You're on.
DAD'S BOSS: Hey, CaseyJonesFan's dad! Come here for a minute...

Man don't be upset, think of it as cool that Peter Laird is out there and aware of all of his fan's to the point where he will take the time out of his day to acknowledge it.

As for your Dad, cut him some slack, he's trying to take an interest in the things that you like and care about. Yes he could be doing it in a better way, but at least he's trying.

The best part of all of this is that when that day comes when you finally do meet Peter Laird... You can call him Bob and hopefully have a nice laugh over it.

That's what I meant, dude. The story is ridiculous, even by TMNT standards of strangeness. I was saying they gave her that origin, because apparently, no one at Mirage wanted her to have a sensible backstory.

Sorry Genesis, but I have to agree I thought you were saying April as Magic Pencil Baby #3 was sensible as backstory.
