The look of the film...
What would you like to see the film look like? Characters or sets, or even atmosphere, post pics and videos of things you'd like to see the new film draw inspiration from visually.
First off, I definitely dig this look for the turtles: http://i.imgur.com/WAJJA.jpg What do you guys think? What should the Shredder look like? How about the Foot? |
Lay off the 'roids Leo and Raph.:P

Yeah, I get bothered when the Turtles are too bulky. I just have a hard time believing they can do anything stealthy or acrobatic like that. I'm totally on the side of red bandannas and the overall grungy look, but... yeah.
|
I don't necessarily want them to be THAT muscular. I just dig the short and stout body type for the turtles.
|
Nah, I don't even like them being just five feet tall. They shouldn't be taller than the average human, but a few more inches couldn't hurt. Stout proportions just make them look midgety, and it bugs me.

I too agree that grungy turtles are better. I liked how the first live action movie portrayed them, though. Actually, I liked how every character was portrayed in the first film. I do prefer if they wear clothes to blend in with their surroundings, like trench coats. I know Tristan Jones is a comic book artist, but I like how he draws them. Obviously they would not look like this, but one can only hope...

I'd like to see the turtles look like this:

I'd personally prefer a mix of the 1st film the 2007 TMNT film for the turtles design and overall aesthetic of the movie. The first film was just, as everyone else agrees, grungy enough and a bit more hard edged, while I like the somewhat sleeker, slimmer look of the turtles in the animated film (obviously a bit of a given seeing as they were animated, but still). I do also feel Splinter looked the least ridiculous in the first film, I'd really hate for the intensity and wisdom of his character to be overshadowed by a goofy design (though I am quite liking the newer Nick version of him I've seen as well).
My biggest hope however is that there is still an emphasis on the brotherhood aspect of the turtles, their unique relationship and self identity as opposed to a film that centered solely around ass-kicking and explosions. |

This but younger looking would be alright... maybe. I don't really in all honesty care what they look like as long as they fit with the theme and style of the movie itself. I am always in for change. |
AC Farley turtles would certainly be a welcomed take.

They should have a battle that takes place in the daytime in the city since that never happened in the first two movies. I also want the sewers/Lair to be more well-lighted and detailed. Later in the film, transition to night with the Turtles battling the Dimension X enemies. It would be cool if there was also a scene when there was a reddish sunset that could be used for Dimension X scenes and possibly on earth as well.
But I really want some cool hi-tech gadgets that the 90s films tend to lack so it can give Kra(a)ng/Donatello a more important role. Have live action Turtlecoms since we have the Technology to do so, via Skype. Use a rover for Dimension X. |
I'd like something like this, but with a more traditional head.

I kinda want to see them go back to how the Turtles looked in the original movie. Why mess with perfection?
