Did Splinter ever fight in 1987 series?
 

I haven't watched a lot of 1987 episodes for years but I don't recall if Splinter ever fought anyone in it; hand to hand combat I mean.

Only time I recall he went against a villain is when he used the Turtle van and shot lasers from it at Shredder and Stockman.

But did he ever fight a villain in hand to hand combat?

Did he ever spar with the Turtles?

I am asking about the 1987 series only; none of the other series or movies at all.

He fought hand to hand in at least a few episodes.

It happened in The Shredder Is Splintered when he tried to get the retro mutagen ray from Shredder. He fought the turtles in the Rat King's first episode when he put him under his control with his flute. He had a battle with Shredder in The Big Blowout. He fought Dregg's batmen in The Day The Earth Disappeared. I'm sure there's some others.

Fought Shredder in Shredder is Splintered and Incredible shrinking Turtles. He flipped all the Turtles around real good in the season 3 opener, Beneath the Sewers, and must fight the Shredder while the Turtles are goofing off and turn off their Turtle-Coms, leading him to get blasted by the Medi-Laser. And while Shredder was in his body in The Old Switcheroo (he also joins the fight in that episode before getting mind-swapped), he wasted all the Turtles, but good. I'm sure there are others....oh, there's the fight that gets him knocked out in Blast from the Past...as well as the Cur-Lee Maneuver.

What about "Shedder and Splintered" Splinter fought the shredded in that one. And there were a couple others.

He fought Shredder in the first season in "Shredder & Splintered."

There were a couple of times on the show where Splinter fought Shredder, like in "Shredder & Splintered." I remember there was one episode in the OT which showed him sparing with the turtles and he beat all of them one by one.

In "Return of the Technodrome", Shredder and Splinter did have a brief battle on a catwalk in the Technodrome before a laser beam hit the catwalk and broke it in two, separating them.

He also fights Shredder in "Invasion of the Turtle Snatchers" before they get beamed aboard the alien space ship.

They built Splinter up harder than superman i remember watching this series thinking how the turtles had no chance against Splinter, which i wouldnt doubt for one second :tcool:

Splinter did fight in the series, but most eps just have him staying at the lair.

Its really weird in retrospect, OT Splinter hardly ever went with the Turtles to ensure they succeeded, its like he just had faith in them.

But he also got involved if he thought they were going to lose focus...

My biggest hope for the Nick TMNT show: Characters actually FIGHT not just crack a ton of jokes.

Quite a few times. "Return Of The Technodrome" was one of the most obvious.

My favorite Splinter battle was from Incredible Shrinking turtles. It was really funny how he whooped Shredder's butt in that one.

One of the reasons that the 2003 cartoon is better than the original cartoon is because Splinter was involved in the fights against Shredder. In the original cartoon, Shredder truly was Splinter's enemy. So Splinter regularly goes and sends the turtles out to fight HIS enemy??? What was he too busy meditating to lend a hand? Any time that the turtles had a major fight against Shredder in the 2003 series, Splinter was right there in the battle.

I just remember him yelling "Haiii-Sacagawea" in that first season episode which is so stupid that it's funny.

That would be the season three premiere "Beneath These Streets"

He was pissed because his turtles wad slacking off after they sent the technodrome underground.

I can't remember this but one of the people i know told me their was an episode where Don felt that the bo was lame weapon and that you can't defeat your opponent with it but then Splinter showed him how it is possible by defeating Leo, Raph and Mike with the bo. I think it is a 2k3 episode but i just can't remember it.
