Did i over pay?

So, I bought a copy of Mirage Vol #1 Issue #4 for $45 dollars the other day. I feel like i may have over paid. What do you all think?

Yep, you overpaid. The only way I'd pay that much is if Laird/Eastman both autographed/head sketched on the cover, and the issue was in NM condition.

I should add, it's a first printing copy of it. From the looks of things Probably VF to NM condition.

Granted HotJuicyBurgers & DonatelloFan, your probably right. Though in a way, I don't fully mind was just curious how bad. From the sounds of it not to horribly...if only 20ty dollars.

I've seen issue #4 sell for that much a few different times, though, most of the time it only sells for around $25 to $30.

Yah, I didn't know for sure you meant a first printing but I figured you did.

It all depends what condition its in. $45 is great if it can be graded as a 9 or better. Most copies I've seen floating around for $20 are about a 6-7.

Well, I am no good with grading comics. I am easily suckered with that stuff. I would like to say its higher than a 6 i would go as high as an 8 but probably not better knowing my luck.

A bit, but are you happy with the book? It's a badass cover (now try for 2nd print or the poster!), and being an early book you know have a cool treasure from the Turtles earliest years.

$45 isn't too bad, depending on condition. I've seen raw copies go for more and sometimes less. So don't beat yourself up too much. :)

When funding returns, I will try for more stuff from the Turtles early years. They are nice to have.

No regrets, just curiosity to make sure I didn't get swindled by like 100% haha.
