VHS Cover Artworks?

Hiya!

I tried searching the forums for an existing thread but couldn't find one, so please excuse me if this topic exists already.

I remember collecting Turtles videos and they always had awesome cover artworks.
Is there an online-website that has these cover-arts in High Resolution? Or is there a place to find the artwork sans any logos or title-texts?

The DVD-cover arts for OT weren't the best, so I'm looking for the vintage VHS-artworks.

Any help greatly appreciated. :)

Googled "Ninja Turtles VHS" & clicked 'large' for the pictures of the highest resolution/size.

Outside of that, I've got some of these in pretty decent quality, I'll upload them to an album for ya.

This reminds me of how I once made my own DVD cover out of one of the VHS covers. I dunno if it's the greatest, but for anyone that's curious...

That's a good conversion there.

Someone's got to bring the old "Custom DVD" thread out of mothballs sometime

This is part of the reason why I recommend people to buy the VHS tapes, in addition to being dirt cheap currently I've gotten my set at around $1 a tape, and I plan to sell some soon on eBay, and I even have a sealed VHS tape in my collection. It's a lot like record album covers, in particualr the detailed rock bands. The 1988, 1989, and 1990 releases especially are well recognizable since it was when all those parents purchased those tapes for their children, they were the most looked upon covers since later releases didn't have as much time since TMNT began its popularity decline, and many covers were thrown away over time. It's an important part of history that shouldn't be passed upon, in particular the scarcer releases and sealed copies since those are the most likely to appreciate in value.

The original TMNT cartoon's vhs tapes were such garbage. For some reason the tapes were recorded on either EP or LP. So if you were to try to watch one of the tapes now, the tracking would be so bad. Were their profits that bad they couldn't put the tapes out in Standard Play?

Oh, CPC, good idea, but try to avoid the Michelangel-o line break! However, you did make me wonder what Michelangelo flavored Jell-O would taste like...

Yeah, I had lots of troubling with the tracking when I pulled out my old VHS tapes to watch them a few years ago.

Probably the best versions of those pictures i have seen was...searching ebay for laserdiscs. The laserdiscs have the same artwork only even bigger. So if someone say, wanted to scan and post nice versions, that would be my suggestion: get the LDs.

I still have my old tmnt VHS tapes.
