2012 turtle skin colors

I have never been a fan of the 07 movie skin colors and I am pissed to see them return. Leonardo looks the best by far and if the other turtles had a shade of green similar to his I think they would all look better. The pale yellowish green skin Donatello has makes him look like he has jaundice, and Raphaels skin looks turquoise almost blue. I know they have to make them look different to justify sale of 4 nearly identical figures to parents but there are far better ways to do that IMO.

What do you guys think?

In my mind, the best mix will always come from either the vintage Playmates figures or the 2003 4kids/Playmates incarnation, with Mikey a dark green, Raph a medium Green, Leo a light green, and Don an olive green or perhaps an olive brown. However, I don't mind the muted differences since I find it the geometric mean between the same color found on the Mirage/Fred Wolf Turtles and the sharp contrast of the 4kids/vintage Playmates Turtles, making them appear more alike and part of the same family.

Yeah, wish they had kept the original shades of green for each figure. I agree,2012 Leo is the best, not super crazy about the rest.

The skin color thing is one of those things that puzzles me. From the original figures up to the Fast Forward figures, the skin colors were the same, but than they changed them for the 2007 movie and somewhat kept that for the 2012 series. And even the Classics have an odd color choice going among the four.

I don't know, maybe it's nostalgia speaking, but I definitely would have preferred the greens of the original toys on the new ones, but I'm okay with the way they are for the most part because they're still good figures.

Yeah, I would've much rather gotten varying hues of the same shade of green, for the sake of accuracy. Oh well. Mikey's neon puke is the only color that really puts me off, but it's not that big of a deal. Granted it's weird Raph got the turquoise this time around when that's always been Mikeys game. If anything, they should've made Leo Mikeys color, Mikeys Raphs, & Raphs Leos.

I'm okay with it.

It doesn't bother me. The colors fit nicely with their mask colors and complement them I think. The figures have always been different colors then each other. It is like real animals, no two are exactly alike.

I think they all look nice except Raphael. His skin is way too much dark of a green (almost blue) and looks out of place near the other turtles

I agree, it makes them a little more different from each other, sets them apart!
