You ever find it funny that Shredder treats his mask as if it's his real face?
1.) In shredder's mom, Shredder's mother grabs him by the side of his helmet. For some odd reason, he is in pain as if she is pulling his ear.
2.) In the "Beware of the Lotus Blossuem" episode, Shredder sneezes even though the feather is touching the outside of his "metal mouth". 3.) One episode, he is wearing headphones with the helmet. |
Not really, but I always found it frustrating that they treated his face-plate as if it was fabric in S2.

Ah the wonders of cartoon logic!

I wish they showed Shredder sleeping in bed with his helmet on, but sadly I don't think that ever happened.

Not really, anyways he had some psychological obssesion with it so he creates stuff that should not happend like the ones u mentioned. 8)

Super-villains are weird.

the animators certainly did I noticed. In the episode where robot versions of Bebop and Rocksteady are made to put a brain busting thing on Channel 6 news, Shredder gets this necklace that was protecting him from the effects is nocked off and he starts mimiacking a monkey.

I always thought that shredder's mask was heavily connected to his head, though steel/aluminum can be pretty tough metals that can penetrate skin pretty hard when pushed against it. I'm not surprised that Shredder is wearing headphones with his helmet on since this is the Technodrome and it can adjust helmets to absorb sound. I never considered Shredder to believe his mask is his real face, just self-protection.
