Buy one get one free Nick TMNT figure

Hey guys, I'm not sure if this is already posted (yes that's why God gave us a search engine) but at my local Toys "R" Us they have the Nickelodeon TMNT basic figures for $8.99 and it's buy one get one free. I am going there tomorrow after I watch the premier on Nick but I just thought I share with everyone.

Powder 09-28-2012 07:36 PM

Yeah you're like the third guy to make a thread about it.

Kevin G 09-28-2012 11:23 PM

Hey, if people want to spend $12 + for a figure where they can get it cheap be my guest.
If that's the case then please lock the thread.

pannoni1 09-29-2012 09:31 AM

Sadly, I went to my TRU and unfortunately there was no sale, so I just decided to go back to WalMart and get the remaining 7 figures to complete my 9-figure basic set. Target was $8.49 and was considered on sale, but it was still more than Taget's $7.77.

They're not $12 in any store I've been in. Don't get sour grapes over sharing old news.

Most they sell for is $9 and they are cheaper than that at walmart.

Plus that buy 2 get 1 free sale ended at TRU. It did at mine anyways.

DonatelloFan 09-29-2012 12:27 PM

I'm going to go today to both TrU and Target, because they're practically right next to each other. Hopefully they're BOGO at TrU.

Sour grapes ? I never heard that expression... I LOVE IT!!!! I apologize if I came off being nasty man.

DonatelloFan 09-29-2012 08:10 PM

Never heard of 'sour grapes'? Wow.

Also, went to my TrU today, and the only sale they had going on was 'Buy One, Get One 50% Off' of the 11" Turtles.

Mona_Lisa 09-29-2012 08:12 PM

AHHH!!!!! How awesome is that? Thanks for the info!:twink:

Edit: I got to excited... didn't read all the posts before I posted...Lol, I wish they were buy 1 get 1 free!

I went to TRU today; all of the 11" figures were completely sold out.

Yeah, my wife and I are on our honeymoon in NYC and the 11" were flying off the shelf. It was, 'buy 1 get 1 50% off'. Basic figures are nearly 12 bucks and all thrown in bins now. Bent cards galore. This is the Times Square location, I'm referring to... They have a Ferris wheel inside. Crazy but a nice store nonetheless.

Hope you have a happy honeymoon, Mr. Ghost!!!

May it be filled with Ninja Turtles and happiness; wait a minute, that's the same thing. :tgrin:

Happy honeymoon Digital Ghost :)

Yeah the sale is over. I was actually hoping it was going to last long, but when I went to my locale Toys "R" Us to exchange a better MOC April, the 6 inch basic figures from the 2012 series were listed $10.49

The classic collection are $19.98 if I'm not mistaken. I am going to pick up the shell storage and SFX figures soon, providing they don't sell out and Metalhead, Dogpound and Fishface don't come too early.

What do you mean by shell storage turtles? Is there a new set of turtles figures out?

I think I am calling the line wrong, but their little larger in scale and you can place their weapons in their shell. I apologize if that's not the name of the line.

I call them "storage shell" figures, but they are actually called "battle shell" same thing except bigger. I have all 4 of them, and to be honest I kind of regret the purchase. Not as articulated and same sculpt as the original nick line. Cost was my main complaint ($100), but if I could have gotten them for around 60 I would have been happy I think.

Kevin G 10-01-2012 10:55 AM

@savagejon123: Lol. I have been calling the line that ever since I saw them at Toys "R" Us.

@Coro: Really ? I am tempted to buy them but I had my doubts. I wonder why they made them bigger as opposed to the original line they were 6 inches ? What do you think about the sfx figures ?

The battle shells are 11 inch....they are pretty tall. Here is a pic with the reg nick figs next to the battle shell guys. Pretty big compared to the other lines.
