If you don't know who undercover leonardo is, well then you don't deserve to live. J/k :P
Here's some background info on him:
Little history of undercovers-- they came out near the end of regular production-- K-mart was the only store that you could get them at, as Toys -R- Us and Walmart had a glut of the sports, rock and roll,etc. and were not buying turtles-- Playmate then starting putting out a lot of different figures and once the prototypes that were made were sold, they switched to another figure and never went into regular production of the figure- undercovers were in that group- even though they were the leading cartoon group, there were so few produced that there was only one shipment of them mixed in with the other figures-- the gold coins that is in this one was just starting to be put into figures- that is something that will be very rare- figures with gold coins -- they tried that for one shipment- I just happen to luck out on this one with the coin-- to my knowledge no other undercover turtles had them as the three turtles were put out on certain areas and the leo was put out by himself in another area - thanks- Robert

sort of. Except don was made in this series as well, but he looked like leo. What it is is just a retool of toon raph :)

Did the Undercover TMNT line have cloth trenchcoats similar to Splinter's kimono?

So, Undercover Don came out earlier...with the human face and the plastic coat, then the 4 turtles came out again as undercover turtles later?

This is what *I* think (i could be wrong)

That one undercover don came out in __ (whenever it was) He had the gun, the pizza slice, the briefcase, the human face, and a PLASTIC coat. (prolly more, but whatever)

Then all 4 turtles came out as an undercover line (look at the pic PWDESAI showed you at the top) They came out with their respective weapons, and I think only leo came out with a coin. They wear CLOTH coats, like Splinters kimono as Jephael asked.

Thats what I think they are about... i could be totally off, but I dont think im that far off :D

Man where did you find that Leo?! I have been lookin so long as you must have to, thats awsome. I want those gus so bad. What did you shell out for him too?

You are correct Ian. As PWDESAI said before, the torso, arms, and legs were the same as the TOON RAPHAEL figure. In other words, they re-used the mold to the Toon Raph figure. The head mold was the same as the UNDERCOVER DONATELLO.

Ian is correct that too date, Leo is the only UNDERCOVER TURTLE to have been found with a collectors coin. However, there has been a weapon color variation found for Undercover Don. He has been found with blue and yellow weapons.

Here's more info, each turtle has something different for their specialty. Raph seems to be the spy with his camcorder (i'm going off the boxart) mike has a gun, so he's probably the hitman, don has a phone and a notepad while writing stuff down, and leo is the guy with the masks. Leo comes with 2 katanas, 3 masks (one is a gasmask which is a retool of the pilot don mask, the other is a repaint of the movie 3 samurai masks, and the final one is the normal undercover don mask not repaint or anything) and a pistol. He also has a collector coin and a trading card. Definately a really nice peice, as the card is in mint condition. The paint job is sloppy though, you can tell it was rushed. I paid $130 with shipping for it, I know I caved in, but I couldn't help it. I'm going to get the other 3 turtles in undercover form soon, hopefully cheaper. This is one of my favoreite peieces now, I'm soooooooo happy!

Loved to have one of the undercover Turtles since I was a kid...but the price is a little...well.....pricey. But congrats in getting what you want finally! :wink:

The names sum up what there specialty is:

Donatello, Communications Specialist
Leonardo, Master of Disguises
Michaelangelo, Balistics Expert
Raphael, Survaillance Technician

BTW..I just picked up a Raphael Survaillance Technician for $35. So they can be found cheap. :D

I've seen mike and don go for about $50 on ebay. But leo is more rare than the other turtles :)
