Loose legs on 88 Turtles?

I just opened a moc 88 hard head Leo on a damaged card to find his legs incredibly loose! They move around very easily unless pulled way back, anytime the legs move forward they are loose.

Any solutions for this, super glue on the joint maybe?

Is this common?

I move the problem leg around alot ( it's just one leg) and it doesn't appear to be in danger of falling off. Super Glue won't solve this?

Pop the leg off, paint superglue around the "ball", wait to dry, pop leg back on. If it's still loose, repeat as necessary.

The leg is on a ball joint? So some boiling hot water will allow me to pop it off?

Do i pop the leg back on when the glue is wet and just move it around to avoid it sticking, or do i wait until it dries?

Edit: I see you told me to wait until it dries, i'm new to this so what does the dried glue do?

Makes the ball bigger with every layer

Ok awesome. So will hot water soft the ball for me to pop the leg off without breaking it?

Discogod 10-16-2012 12:38 PM

No, the actual ball section is hard plastic. Heating the leg will soften it to allow you to pop it off, though (although I've found those figures don't need it, but better safe than sorry).

My leo's legs are much tighter. One leg still moves easier than the other but the wobble everytime i pick up the figure is long gone.

Thanks guys!

I would also suggest trying Gorilla Glue as it foams slightly when it dries which would add a bit more grip.

Even though it's hard plastic those internal plastiv posts will snap very easy, since the legs are not a soft plastic.
